Itinerary
- Day 1
White Desert
You'll get picked up from your hotel in Giza or Cairo early in the morning and drive roughly 4 hours (350 km) to Bahariya Oasis with a couple stops along the way for water and food. Once there, you'll switch into a 4x4 Jeep to explore the Black Desert, then head over to the Valley of Agabat in the White Desert. The afternoon is spent wandering through the White Desert National Park checking out the unusual limestone formations shaped by wind and erosion. By evening you'll set up camp for the night, watch the sunset, have dinner cooked over a campfire, and sleep under the stars with nothing but desert sky above.

White Desert to Bahariya Oasis
This morning starts early so you can catch the sunrise in the White Desert, grab breakfast, and then drive back toward Bahariya Oasis. On the way you'll stop at Crystal Mountain (Gebel al-Izzaz) to see the natural quartzite crystal formations, then head to Bir Sigam, a relaxing hot spring about 7 km east of Bahariya where you can cool off. After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll spend the afternoon exploring the oasis itself including palm and olive fields, Gebel Maghrafa, the dinosaur site, and Lake al-Marun. Later in the day you'll climb English Mountain (Gebel Al Ingleez) to watch the sunset before checking into Ahmed Safari Camp for the night.

Bahariya Oasis to Cairo
You'll start the day with breakfast at your hotel, then drive to Qasr Selim to visit the tombs of Bannentiu and Djed-Ankh-Amun-Iuf (Zed-Amun), which date back to the 26th Dynasty. After that you'll explore Bawiti, the capital of Bahariya Oasis, and check out the Museum of the Golden Mummies to see the mummy artifacts found in the area. Before heading back to Cairo, you'll make a stop at the temple of Ain El Muftella to see this religious site and then begin your drive back to the city.
