Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Jeffreys Bay to Storms River Village

    Your driver picks you up from your accommodation or the airport for a scenic coastal drive along South Africa's Garden Route. The journey takes you through Jeffreys Bay, known for its surf breaks, and then continues into the Tsitsikamma area. In the afternoon, you'll head to Tsitsikamma National Park to take in the rugged coastline and dramatic cliffs. By evening, you'll arrive in Storms River Village where you're staying the first night.

  2. Day 2

    Storms River Village to Wilderness

    Today you travel westward along the coast from Storms River Village. The route passes through scenic coastal villages including Plettenberg Bay and Knysna, with stops tailored to what interests you most. If you're into adventure, your guide can arrange a stop at Bloukrans Bridge, home to one of the world's highest commercial bungee jumping sites (708 meters/2,323 feet). You'll reach Wilderness in the afternoon for a two-night stay.

  3. Day 3

    Wilderness to Oudtshoorn

    After heading inland across the Outeniqua mountains, you'll reach Oudtshoorn, an area centered around ostrich farming. Your first stop is a guided tour at an Ostrich Show Farm where a local guide walks you through how ostriches are raised and the farming practices involved. Later in the day, you'll tour the Cango Caves with a guide showing you through this underground cave system with its impressive rock formations and chambers.

  4. Day 4

    Oudtshoorn to Cape Town

    You'll spend the full day driving to Cape Town with your guide stopping regularly so you can enjoy the surrounding scenery along the way. The route follows either the N2 or R62 highway, or possibly a combination of both, depending on where exactly you need to be dropped off in Cape Town. This final day brings your journey through the Garden Route to a close as you arrive at your destination.

    • For any tour departing before February 13th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with South Cape Expeditions. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and South Cape Expeditions will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
