Itinerary
- Day 1
Santiago
You'll arrive at Santiago airport and get transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is open, so settle in and check out the city at your own pace. Take time to rest up after travel or wander around the neighborhood if you're not too tired.


- Day 2
Santiago
Start with a guided tour of Santiago hitting the main sights like the Metropolitan Cathedral, La Moneda Presidential Palace, and Plaza de Armas. Then take the metro up to Santa Lucia park and its castle before walking through the Lastarria neighborhood. After lunch, head 35 minutes outside the city to Cousinho Macul Vineyard for a wine tour where you'll learn how they produce their wines.

Santiago to Santa Cruz
Following breakfast, pick up your rental car and drive to Santa Cruz in the Colchagua Valley, one of Chile's top wine regions. Spend the next two days on your own checking out different wineries, tasting wines, and learning about production methods. You'll also visit Museo de Colchagua, which has a varied collection of exhibits housed in a grand colonial hacienda.

- Day 5
Santa Cruz to Chillán
After breakfast at the hotel, drive south on Route 5 toward Chillán. Once you check in, head to Feria de Chillán in Plaza de la Merced, a large handicrafts market with fresh produce, knitwear, and leather goods. Later, walk around town and look for the collection of Mexican murals painted throughout the city.

Chillán to Pucón
Drive to Pucón in the Lake District and settle in for three nights. The area has clear lakes, snow-capped mountains, and thick forests. You can choose what to do each day: raft the Río Trancura rapids, hike in Parque Nacional Huerquehue, fish, visit thermal spas, or go to Parque Nacional Villarrica where you can hike to Volcán Villarrica's crater and explore waterfalls and remote trails.

Pucón to Huilo Huilo Reserve
Drive to Huilo Huilo Reserve, a private 100,000-hectare native forest sanctuary with diverse ecosystems and endemic species. Volcán Choshuenco rises in the background. You'll spend two days at the rainforest lodge doing scenic walks, horseback riding, jeep trips to lagoons, canopy walks, mountain biking, kayaking, fly fishing, or soaking in natural thermal baths.

- Day 11
Huilo Huilo Reserve to Puerto Varas
Leave the rainforest lodge and drive south to Puerto Varas, an elegant town that introduces you to Patagonia. The town has wide streets, green parks, and views of Volcán Osorno and Volcán Calbuco. End the day with a filling meal at a local restaurant.

- Days 12 - 13
Puerto Varas
Use Puerto Varas as your base for two days of independent exploration. Check out Lake Llanquihue with its rolling pastures and perfectly symmetrical Volcán Osorno. Visit villages known for German pastries and smoked trout, or head to the black-sand beaches of Frutillar Bajo with its traditional wooden buildings. You can also venture to Saltos de Petrohué, steaming rapids cut through lava, and nearby Lago Todos los Santos.
