Dibrugarh
When you arrive at Dibrugarh airport, head to the Jokai Botanical Garden where you'll see the region's diverse plant and animal life. Walking through the grounds gives you a good introduction to what Assam's natural environment looks like.

Dibrugarh to Itanagar

Itanagar

Itanagar to Kaziranga National Park
Drive out from Itanagar toward Kaziranga National Park, stopping in Tezpur to see the Agnigarh Fort on a hill overlooking the Brahmaputra River. After that, visit Bamuni Hills with its old sculptures and ruins scattered around. Continue on to Kaziranga, which is known for its population of the one-horned rhinoceros.

- Day 5
Kaziranga National Park
Take two gypsy safaris to see the wildlife at Kaziranga. The morning safari takes you through the eastern range where biodiversity is high, and the afternoon safari covers the western range. On both trips you'll come across rhinos, elephants, tigers, and lots of different bird species.

Landmarks Kaziranga National Park - Day 6
Kaziranga National Park to Guwahati
Start early with a safari in the central range of Kaziranga, which is good for seeing water birds and the landscapes. Then leave Kaziranga and drive to Guwahati. Check into your hotel and relax, then head out in the evening for a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River where you can watch the sky change colors.

- Day 7
Guwahati
Spend the day in Guwahati starting at the Kamakhya Temple dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya, where you'll see the spiritual side and the temple's architecture. Next, take a boat to Umananda Temple on Peacock Island in the river. In the afternoon, walk through the Assam State Museum to see artifacts, sculptures, and tribal crafts, then visit the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra to see performances and displays of Assam's art and music. Head to the airport in the evening for your departure.
