Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arusha to Tarangire National Park

    Your driver picks you up at 8:00 AM from your Arusha hotel and takes you into Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing. The park is Tanzania's third largest, and you'll see why once you start spotting the massive baobab trees scattered across the landscape. Large elephant herds roam here, and you'll also look for lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, and zebra as you drive through different areas. Around midday you'll have a picnic lunch right in the park, then head back to Omega View Hotel for dinner.

  2. Day 2

    Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

    After breakfast, you travel toward Serengeti National Park, driving through endless grasslands to get there. Once you arrive, you'll do an afternoon game drive looking for wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and lions spread across the plains. A picnic lunch gives you a break from the vehicle, and then you continue exploring. By evening you're back at your accommodation where dinner and rest await.

  3. Day 3

    Serengeti to Northern Serengeti

    You get to choose how early you want to start, either 6:00 AM for the sunrise game drive or 9:00 AM for a more relaxed morning. Your drives take you through central Serengeti and up toward the northern section, and you'll notice the land changes from grasslands into more hilly country. Keep watch for zebras, topi, gazelle, buffalo, leopards, and lions along the way. You'll spend a few hours near the Mara River before settling into Heritage Mara Camp for dinner.

  4. Day 4

    Mara River Region

    Again, you pick your start time at either 6:00 AM or 9:00 AM. If you're visiting between mid-June and September, you might catch the great migration and see wildebeest attempting to cross the Mara River, which is a powerful and dramatic scene. Crocodiles wait in the water, and the crossings are intense natural events. You'll return to Heritage Mara Camp for the evening.

  5. Day 5

    Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti

    Choose between a 6:00 AM early start or a 9:00 AM departure. You'll drive south for about four hours through hill country and woodlands, passing through the Lobo area on your way to Central Serengeti's Seronera region. This stretch is one of the richest wildlife areas in the park because of the Seronera River, which draws many different species. The drive itself offers decent game viewing along the route. You'll check into Tukaone Serengeti Camps for the night.

  6. Day 6

    Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

    You start with a morning game drive in Serengeti, then head toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch packed for the journey. The crater itself is a 14-kilometer natural formation created by a collapsed volcano, and it's surrounded by other extinct volcanoes. Around 30,000 animals live on the crater floor, drawn to the many watering holes. After taking in these sights, you'll head to Omega View Hotel for dinner.

  7. Day 7

    Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

    Your final safari day starts early at 6:30 AM when you descend into the crater for a five-hour game drive across the 260 square kilometer floor. You'll spot African elephants, buffalo, Black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. After lunch at Hippo Pool with its nice views, you make the steep climb back up to the crater rim. Then it's a four-hour drive back to Arusha, where you'll arrive around 6:00 PM, ending your safari.

For tours departing after February 12th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Lappet Faced Safaris. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
