- Darius· April 28th, 2025Excellent itinerary combining leisure with visiting key sites in this beautiful country - we enjoyed all of Petra, Jerash, Wadi Rum, central Amman, the Jordanian part of the Holy Land and the Dead Sea area. Jordanians everywhere are friendly and are currently experiencing a big dip in tourism because of the neighbouring war zone Our friendly guide Faisal made a huge difference as he proudly showed us the best his country had to offer. We will be back!!!Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Darius, thank you for sharing your experience! - Eleanor Margaret· September 25th, 2024The tour was amazing and Faisal certainly was a good guide. My only suggestion is not to spend the afternoon in Wadi Rum at the camp but maybe look at Amman in the morning and get to Wadi Rum just before sunset for the camel ride. Wadi Rum the next day was wonderfulShow moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Eleanor, thank you for sharing your wonderful review on the Essential Jordan trip! - PCPaul· September 22nd, 2024Had a great few days with the tour. Guide Faizal was absolutely superb from start to finish - hugely passionate and very knowledgeable. We saw many amazing sights right across Jordan. Our driver Yasser was great too, always felt very safe when we were covering long distances between location. The highligt for me was Petra - one of my bucket list destinations, and it didn't disappoint. Absolutely incredible place that has to be seen to be believed. But TourRadar, sort out the optional camel ride in Wadi Rum. Very overpriced for such a short ride, but much more important than that - the camels were not controlled in any safe way; there were 2 groups of camels walking side by side and they kept walking into each-other and a few group members got their legs trapped in between when they came together. Fortunately no injuries, but that's much more by luck than anything else. Most of us walked back to camp rather than getting on again. I have always enjoyed camel rides in the past, and have had many in the Sahara - this is the only one I have ever experienced that was unsafe. I would have scored 5/5 without the camels, but it's definitely 1 star less for this very poor experience. However, camels aside it was a great few days. Jordan is an amazing country with many beautiful places to visit, and the people there are very welcoming and friendly.Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Paul, thank you for sharing your experience with us! - Daniel· September 1st, 2024Was a brilliant tour! So many really impressive places to see. The hotels were all really nice. Faisal, our guide, was brilliant, very knowledgeable and everything ran very smoothly. Anyone who is worried about safety in the region at the moment due to the war - don't be worried! Everything is very safe. In fact, it's probably the best possible time to visit - everywhere is so empty, when we got to the Treasury at Petra there were literally 4 other people there - amazing opportunity to get photos in front of a world wonder with nobody else in the shot! Would recommend to everyone!Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Daniel, thank you for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a brilliant tour. - Brett· March 11th, 2024Good tour. Good itinerary and group. Overall, we were happy. I’d say the four-star were a little exaggerated. I’d say hotels were three star. Also, what was annoying was consulting with your radar before the tour to see if a Jordan pass was needed. The pass would include entry to sites and visa. This was around $100 cheaper than what we did. But they never told us. Finally the first day is a 15 min meeting that wasn’t worthwhile and shouldn’t be a tour day’Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Brett, thank you for your review! - TGTracey· February 6th, 2024The Essential Jordan tour for 7 days is amazing. You can fit everything in but it would be nice to have a couple of extra days along the way. Petra itself you could wander around in for 2 days. Spent 7 1/2 hours walking around and still didn’t have enough time. I would have to say our Guide Faizal was fantastic and made our trip even that more special, he is an asset with so much knowledge and great interpersonal skills.Show moreTrip date: January 2024

- KBKristina· May 6th, 2023I HAD AN AMAZING TIME on this one week cultural tour 'Essential Jordan'. My experience in Petra and Wadi Rum was really exceptional. I travelled as a woman alone and I had a really friendly group and would recommend this experience. I felt safe and secure and our guide Faizal was very friendly, attentive and educational and gave good free time tips for eating out. The hotels we stayed in were all of a good standard of comfort and I loved the Wadi Rum camp ..it was my highlight. I found the whole experience very satisfying and although one has to expect early starts in order to see and get to specific ancient sights it was well worth the effort . We certainly got plenty of exercise walking around ancient sites. Petra in particular involves a lot of walking and high steps upward passes to see ancient monuments. Relaxing at the Dead Sea was a real bonus. Amman is a really interesting vibrant city if you make the effort to get an Uber downtown and eat out.Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Kristina, thank you for your review , we're happy to hear you had a great experience on your Jordan trip , it's an mazing destination to visit . Traveler•Written April 2025Would like to know if you already have other participants who have signed up for that as i do not want to be the only traveller?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written April 2025
Any tour listed as a "Guaranteed Departure" means that the minimum requirement of 4 participants has already been met, so there's no confusion there — the tour is confirmed to run so you can feel confident in proceeding with your plans.

Asked on February 17th, 2025How much are airport transfers to and from hotel? I have to add an extra night at the beginning and end of the tour, how much extra would that cost to do it at the hotel you use? What is the name of the hotel in Amman? What's the rough cost of optional activities? What's the rough cost of tips expected throughout tour?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written February 2025
Airport Transfers: The arrival transfer is complimentary, but you will need to arrange your departure transfer independently. Pre & Post Accommodation: Unfortunately, pre and post-tour accommodation is not included, and you would need to contact the hotel directly to arrange extra nights. The tour's arrival and departure hotel is Sulaf Luxury Hotel in Amman. Entrance Fees (approximate total: 108.5 USD): Jerash – 10 USD, Wadi Rum – 7 USD, Petra Ancient City – 70 USD, Dead Sea – 10 USD, Shobak Castle – 1.5 USD, Ajloun – 10 USD. Optional Activities (prices may vary): Lunch at Dead Sea – 12 USD, Group Dinner – 22 USD, Ajloun Natural Reserve Trail – 25 USD, Camel Ride in Wadi Rum – 17 USD, Petra By Night Tour – 25 USD. Tipping: While not mandatory, tipping is customary. It is reasonable to tip 10% for services. On tour, a budget of 5-10 USD per day should generally cover tips for service staff, with additional gratuities for your guide and driver at the end of the tour.

Traveler•Written February 2025I am trying to book this tour and it says suitable only up to 59 years of age. Why? Also, we are trying to book for three travellers in one room... Is this possible?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written February 2025
Accommodation: The names and locations of the hotels/camps are as listed in the tour itinerary. Twin, double, and triple rooms are available, so your group of three can be accommodated in one room. The indicated age guideline of 59 years is a recommendation rather than a strict restriction.
