- Irene· March 20th, 2025Our trip on the Ocean Albatross to Northen Greenland was amazing. We got to over 79 degrees North before getting stopped by the pack ice. There was a great variety of onshore activities as we moved along the West coast. We didn't see much wildlife but with an expedition team of twenty polar specialists onboard, we were able to learn a good deal attending the lectures in the bright, open conference room. Both the expedition team and ship staff were friendly, helpful and excellent. Our balconied room, the ship services, and the food were fantastic! We had an awesome trip. PS: It was so good, I am going on another Albatross Expedition cruise shortly.Show more

If you are unable to walk without a walking stick, you may face significant challenges, particularly during the disembarkation process in Kangerlussuaq. This location requires the use of zodiacs for disembarkation as there is no port, and zodiacs are a regular part of daily activities.

During rough weather, elevators are turned off and you'll need to use stairs from your cabin to the top deck. Our crew can assist you with boarding zodiacs by giving a hand, but cannot lift you. You need to be able to do activities on your own.

All single cabins are fully booked. We have a triple-share F cabin where you would be matched with two other solo travelers. Alternatively, a private cabin is possible with a 75% single supplement charge.

Our age limit of 99 years is just a generic number as most of our guests are younger; however, people of all ages are welcome on our voyages. Regarding medical requirements, while we don't have specific mandates, we ask that all guests inform us of any past medical issues. For all our voyages, it is mandatory for all passengers to have medical evacuation insurance coverage with a minimum value of USD 200,000. Solo travelers have the option to occupy a cabin alone by paying a 75% single supplement fee or to share a cabin with another solo traveler of the same gender. We still have availability in Category C cabins and are currently offering a 30% promotion.

There is no age limit as such, as long as the passenger is fit to travel. In case of a pre-existing medical condition, we ask the guests to provide us with some extra forms filled by their doctor.
