Customer Reviews
- Chip· July 3rd, 2022Good, but there was definitely a lack of information given to folk on the tour. As in what to wear, how strenuous it's going to be ... etc.Show more
- Grant· May 12th, 2025Marco was a fantastic guide … The trip was exactly what I expected. Combination of some good long hard tracks and walks combined with one or two semi easy days, and Marco I don’t know how we did it, but he organised fantastic weather for us and I would thoroughly recommend Marco and this journey to anyone.Show more
- Loren· October 15th, 2024First the positive. Olbia, Maddalena, and Bonifacio are beautiful. The waters are crystal clear. The sailing is amazing. The approach to Corsica is particularly stunning. The captain was extremely competent and we always felt safe. We only had 3 people plus the captain on the boat, which made the accommodations comfortable enough (8 people would have been way too many for me). On the not so positive side, the beaches were just ok and the snorkeling was unimpressive. We did not experience any walking trails nor much wild life. Breakfasts and lunches were all on the boat, as were 4 dinners. It was not our understanding that, literally, the captain’s only responsibility was to sail the boat. He didn’t help with paying for, preparing, or cleaning up after meals. With only the 3 passengers, this meant that on our vacation, we took care of him. We called him when lunch/dinner was ready and cleaned his dishes when we were all done. He didn’t seem particularly appreciative nor did he reciprocate in any way. He didn’t offer tips on walking trails or comment on wild life opportunities. He took the zodiac out once, on request. Basically, he dropped anchor and we were on our own. Overall, it was a beautiful trip but it didn’t totally live up to the expectations set by the itinerary.Show more

What our customers ask about this tour
The content in our FAQ section is subject to change.- K

Asked on October 9th, 2024Reading the description for the 8-day Tour du Mont Blanc, I can't assess the daily hiking duration/distance. Please supply this info (average daily distance/ hike duration or some indication of the expected effort will suffice).
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written October 2024
Physical rating - Although no mountaineering experience is required on this trip, a good level of physical fitness is necessary. You must be comfortable hiking up to 8-10 hours a day, with many steep uphill sections, uneven, rocky terrain and in unpredictable weather. This hike is a strenuous one, so the better prepared you are, the more you should enjoy it. We recommend that in the months leading up to your climb you increase your physical fitness with aerobic exercise. Walking, running and stair-climbing will all strengthen your legs and improve your stamina.

Asked on July 17th, 2023Can we do a part of the journey rather than the whole trek? We are thinking of dividing the trek into 3 or 4 sections with time to visit the areas near each section.
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written July 2023
If you would like to do only a part of the tour, it is possible. You may opt out of some included activities to visit other areas, but the cost of this has to be borne on your own.
