Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival at Velana International Airport to Maafushi Island
You'll land at Velana International Airport where your guide and driver meet you. From there, it's a scenic 90-minute boat ride out to Maafushi Island in South Male Atoll, and you might catch sight of dolphins during the journey. Once you're settled in, there's local afternoon tea with traditional hedikaa snacks waiting for you. Dinner happens at your hotel later that evening.

You'll have a packed lunch, then in the afternoon there's an excursion to look for sea turtles. On the way back to Maafushi, dolphins might show up. Weather permitting, the day ends with a romantic beach picnic dinner under the stars.

Your guide shows you the local shipyard, then you'll wander around this quiet island, sample fresh coconut juice, and chat with residents to get a feel for the relaxed lifestyle here. There's also time for snorkeling with your guide and relaxing on the bikini beach.

A boat takes you to Male in the morning. You'll get a guided tour covering popular sites like the Male Friday Mosque and Sultan Park, plus a visit to the National Museum (entrance fee separate). The afternoon is free for you to explore the city on your own. Your driver will have you at the airport in time for your flight.
