- Eilíse· July 18th, 2025I have just finished the 17 day New Zealand tour with Intro and can honestly say I’ve had the best time! The tour was jam-packed with an amazing mix of activities from start to finish! South Island in particular was such a standout! Our group leader Danny went above and beyond to make us all feel comfortable from the get go, and to share his love for New Zealand with us. He really gave all of us such an incredible, unforgettable experience!Show moreTrip date: July 2025
- GGrace· April 16th, 2025The itinerary was amazing! We got to see and experience so much of NZ but it didn’t feel rushed. The perfect combination of natural beauty, adventurous activities (especially if you did the optional additional ones), and making memories with the group. I was a tad nervous but instantly felt at home with the group and our amazing leader Tommy. Would recommend this to anyone looking to explore NZ and make new friends and experiences!Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- GGemma· April 9th, 2025This tour is amazing!! I would highly recommend it to anyone, I have made lots of really close friends who I will be keeping in contact with going forward. New Zealand is an unbelievable country. The scenery is unreal and there are so many different places to explore. The activities included in this tour were very diverse and all so much fun. My group leader Tommy, was extremely helpful. He was a real friend to everyone on the trip and would be more than happy to help with any issues we had. He was very knowledgeable about the country as well and he played a massive role in making this tour so good.Show moreTrip date: March 2025

- Andrea· March 25th, 2025The trip was well organized and coordinated. Our tour guide, danny was amazing at helping us get all the activities besides the built in activities in there and was a memorable, charismatic and fun group leader!Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- CC· March 25th, 2025All of the 17 days of the NZ adventure has been fantastic time. Danny Flanders is a fantastic group leader and shows he is very experienced in handling a group with various kind of people and needs. He is kind, friendly and ensures everyone is okay and included within the group. He likes to make sure everyone is having a good time and enjoying the activities we have included within the tour but also recommends the optional activities (you have to pay for these) that we can do in our free time. Danny ensures to message and let everyone know in a WhatsApp group what is happening for the next day so it runs very smoothly. Danny has spoken to us about the NZ sights, culture, food (kiwi pies!) and nature which shows how much Danny enjoys sharing his knowledge, some history and information about the country. I have really enjoyed my Intro travel tour for New Zealand and Danny have made it extra enjoyable for everyone too and always smiling! Danny makes sure to take plenty of photos for us which is great and helpful. Various mixed age group was from 18 to 36 years old and maximum people of 18 of the tour group. Really liked that we had our own private bus for journeys. It was a bonus to have breakfasts included as it made it a stress free mornings! All of the Haka Houses Hostel Accommodation have been great and didn't have any issues at all. Last accommodation of the tour needs changing as didn't like Nomads Backpackers but understand it is central to Queenstown. Please provide towels for each accommodation. It would be good to be given a little Intro travel bag of essentials like shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste if doing the tours over 9 days to get started and maybe cheap flip flops to use in communal areas/shower! I know some people would like to do the farewell dinner but maybe it can be an optional choice especially if people would prefer to get a flight home that evening after jet boating (especially if you have a very long flight or short on Annual Leave for those who are working). Maybe people would like to get lunch together instead as definitely try the Fergburgers! I think in the future, Abel Tasman National Park would be nicer place to do or something like Te Papakura o Taranaki Egmont National Park than Wellington as that was the least favourite place to visit in North New Zealand. Also 7 hours bus journey and the activities in Wellington wasn't the best to do. Otherwise the NZ adventure itinerary was planned with a lot of good activities included and ran very smoothly by Danny. Wānana day activities could be swapped as a morning hike up Mt Iron rather than a late afternoon hike (in the summer?) and a longer time to do the kakaying on the river (least 2 hours as gives people an hour to explore themselves if they wish). Thank you for reading my review I would like to say a huge thank you to Danny Flanders for making us have a great and memorable time in New Zealand Adventure Tour! :)Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- FHFreya· March 17th, 2025This tour was absolutely excellent from start to finish, and I'm not sure that there is even one thing I would have changed about it (except maybe that it could have lasted longer!). Tommy, our guide, was amazing - friendly, professional, fun and everything in between, he helped to make the tour unforgettable. What really stood out about this trip however was the people - everybody was friendly and we got along straight away, even when the group changed slightly between the North & South island - I can genuinely say that I made some lifelong friends and am devastated to have to leave them already. Everything was expertly organised, meaning that I didn't have to worry about a single aspect of the planning for the trip, and the activities that we did (including the optional extras like bungy jumping and white water rafting) were with the best companies around - Tommy even booked us onto these meaning that the entire experience was seamless. This tour has been by far the best group trip I've done to date, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Intro travel to anyone looking to visit New Zealand. PS, book the 17-day tour, it's SO worth it:)Show moreTrip date: February 2025
- Jack· March 7th, 2025I recently completed the 17 day NZ Adventure tour with Danny as my Group Leader, and I can honestly say it was one of the best places I have visited! Both the North and South Islands were incredible, but my highlights were staying in Lake Tekapo, hiking through Mount Cook / Hooker Valley, cruising through Milford Sound and exploring Queenstown, including a ride on a jet boats. We enjoyed many fun nights out and experienced some memorable karaoke sessions! Danny was an amazing Group Leader, always bringing the energy and ensured the group had the best time. He was very approachable, highly organised and a pleasure to be around, I know we will stay in touch. Thank you Danny and INTRO - I highly recommend this tour, especially if you are lucky enough to have Danny. I already have my next trip booked with INTRO.Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- Jess· February 24th, 2025This tour is the best way to see the key spots of New Zealand. Doing both North and South Island gives you such a wide variety of activities and immersion into the different cultures.Show moreTrip date: February 2025

Asked on June 10th, 2025any age restriction on this tour? We are over 50
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written June 2025
Unfortunately the hostels we stay at in New Zealand do not accept anyone over the age of 45, so we wouldn't be able to book you onto a tour there.

Asked on June 3rd, 2025What does Shared Dormitory mean? Will the accommodation be in a hotel? For us ideal would be Double Room with private bathroom and breakfast.
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written June 2025
The accommodation included on this trip is multi-share throughout. However, we can look into the possibility of a private room. Not all private rooms are ensuite, so you would be sharing a bathroom in some locations.

Asked on June 2nd, 2025I have a question in the visitor VISA application about Full address of accomodation if known. Should I book this and then show the itinerary here as the proof? Do you have any idea about this?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written June 2025
Regarding your visa application - it's up to you whether you'd like to organise your visa or book your tour first. The full address of the starting accommodation you'll need for your form is below: Haka House Auckland - 5 Turner St, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010, New Zealand

Asked on May 24th, 2025Is the option of a Vegetarian meal available for all meals throughout the tour duration?
- N
Natasha
Traveler•Written May 2025What time should I plan to arrive in Auckland airport on Day 1?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written May 2025
Yes, there will be plenty of vegetarian options available throughout the trip, and we'll absolutely be able to cater for this. On Day 1 of your trip, there are no planned activities, so you can choose to arrive at any time. The group meets around 7pm for a welcome dinner, so we recommend arriving before then if possible.

Natasha
Traveler•Written May 2025Is it preferable to book the tour after the visa is done or before it?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written May 2025
I recommend checking the visa requirements for entry into New Zealand before booking the tour. After your visa application has been approved, we recommend securing your spot on the tour to avoid missing out.

Asked on May 7th, 2025Is it an option to have hotel accommodations rather than a dorm?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written May 2025
We can certainly look into the possibility of a private room for you. However we do room you with someone of the same gender (excluding multi-share accommodation) and try our best to room you with someone of a similar age. Also Group Members are in their hotel rooms for a very limited time throughout the trip, as there are activities most days and things planned most evenings.

Asked on March 30th, 2025I wanted to check if some of the following experiences are included or not: Coromandel Peninsula, Kaikoura, Franz Josef. If not, can these be added? I would like to consider an April departure.
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written April 2025
We do not include Coromandel Peninsula, Kaikoura & Franz Josef on our itinerary. However, I am just checking with the local team to see if you would have some time do visit these locations when you are on the trip.
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written April 2025
They mentioned that since all 3 locations are quite far from where you'll be during the tour, there unfortunately wouldn't be enough time to visit them as part of the itinerary. If you're looking to add these to your travels, they recommend arriving a few days early to explore Coromandel and then visiting the other 2 locations after the tour, as they are on the South Island.

Asked on January 21st, 2025does this tour have a single room for a single traveller?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written January 2025
We can certainly look into the possibility of a private room for you. However the majority of our Group Members are solo travellers, just like you, and we find sharing a room with your crew can be an amazing part of the experience!

Asked on January 2nd, 2025Are the accommodations in shared rooms, and will they be mixed gender?
- INTRO TravelOperator•Written January 2025
The accommodations are indeed in mixed dorm share rooms; we try to keep males and females together, but some rooms may be mixed if the numbers don't split evenly.
