We tried different types of tours including a dive live-aboard, Nile Cruise, having only a driver and exploring sights on our own and having a private guide. I would highly recommend having a private guide if you are doing a Nile Cruise and/or exploring Egypt by land. Our guide, Hassan, was a wonderful private guide. He took care of everything and he took care of us. We learned so much. He is extremely knowledgeable in Egyptian history.
