Itinerary
- Day 1
Dublin to Galway to Connemara
You'll leave Dublin and head west toward Galway, stopping somewhere along the route to stretch and take a break. Once in Galway, spend time walking around and soaking up the bohemian vibe with street musicians performing throughout the city. From there, continue into Connemara where the landscape shifts to wild, rugged terrain with mountain peaks and deep valleys. By evening you'll settle into Clifden, where you can grab dinner and catch some live Irish music at a local pub.

Connemara
This morning you'll tackle Diamond Hill, a moderate 7km loop walk in Connemara National Park with 400m elevation gain. The hike gives you commanding views across the mountains and out toward the coast. After coming down from the ridge, head to Kylemore Abbey, a lakeside Benedictine monastery with a fascinating history that started in Belgium before the community relocated to Ireland. You'll spend time exploring the grounds and learning about the abbey's past.

- Day 3
Westport
Today takes you to Westport, which regularly gets voted Ireland's best town. You can choose your own adventure here: either climb Croagh Patrick, Ireland's holiest mountain with steep sections and rewards of commanding views over Clew Bay, or cycle the newly built Green-way Cycle track heading toward Achill Island if that suits you better. Later in the afternoon, return to explore Westport itself, then enjoy fine dining and live Irish music this evening.

- Day 4
Achill Island
Starting from Achill Island's bay, you'll walk a moderate 11km loop toward an old lookout shelter along the ridge. This takes roughly 3 to 4 hours and involves about 350m of ascent. The route gives you constant views of the cliffs dropping down to the Atlantic. After finishing the walk, wander through some of the craft and coffee shops on the island to relax. Later you'll head back to Westport for the night.

County Sligo
You'll travel to County Sligo, known for having some of Ireland's most beautiful scenery with mountains, boglands, sandy beaches, and forests all mixed together. In the morning or afternoon, walk Knocknarea, an easy to moderate hike that takes about 2 hours and connects to legends about the Iron Age Queen Maeve. If you want to add more to the day, you can visit Carrowmore, which holds Ireland's largest collection of ancient megalithic tombs, or head to one of Sligo's beaches for a surf session if that appeals to you.

Sligo
You'll drive to Drumcliff to pay respects at W.B. Yeats's grave before starting the walk up Benbulben, a moderate to strenuous mountain that takes 3 to 4 hours and covers 10km with 380m elevation. After descending, visit Lissadell House, where Constance Markievicz spent her childhood. She later became the first woman elected to the British House of Commons and played a key role in the Irish Revolution. By evening, the group gathers for a final meal together in Sligo town.

Return to Dublin
Early in the morning, you'll take a short drive to one of Sligo's beaches for either a walk along the shoreline or a swim in the Atlantic if you're up for it. Then you'll leave the west behind and start driving back toward Dublin with a stop somewhere along the journey. You should arrive back in Dublin around 6pm, though that depends on traffic conditions on the day.
