Itinerary
- Day 1
Tui
You'll arrive in Tui at your own pace, which gives you flexibility to get there however works best for your schedule. Once you check in at your hotel, take time to settle in and get your bearings before the pilgrimage officially begins.
- Day 2
Tui to Porriño
Start by visiting Tui's Romanesque-Gothic cathedral, then walk through the tunnel of the Clarisses, the Dominican Monastery, and Church of St. Bartholomew. After that, you'll get driven to Porriño where your hiking begins through the Louro Valley, passing through small villages, forests, and meadows.

- Day 3
Porriño to Pontevedra
This day follows the historic Roman paths of the Way of St. James, and you'll notice ancient milestones marking the route. You'll climb over Lomba Pass, which offers views of the fjord-like Ría de Vigo bay, then reach Pontesampaio. From there, continue into Pontevedra's charming old town where you can explore and relax in one of the beautiful squares.

- Day 4
Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis
Leave Pontevedra by crossing the old Burgo bridge over the Rio Lérez, then take small roads and forest paths through scenic areas with few people around. You'll pass by Iglesia de Santa Maria del Alba and San Amaro before reaching Caldas de Reis.

Caldas de Reis to Padrón
Start with an optional visit to the Church of Santa Maria de Caldas if you're interested in seeing Master Mateo's influence in the architecture. Then hike through the Bermana Valley across meadows and forests to Pontecesures, where you'll cross the Rio Ulla. You'll arrive in Padrón and visit the Church of Saint James, known for the legendary stone under the high altar where St. James's boat reportedly landed.

Continue from Padrón toward Santiago de Compostela, passing through the historic village of Iria Flavia and its early medieval collegiate church of St. Mary. After that, you'll go through the hamlets of Ruerio and Tarroo before reaching Santiago de Compostela via Rua Rosalía de Castro.
