Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
You'll arrive at your 3-star hotel or inn and get settled in. After checking in, take some time to walk around the property and familiarize yourself with the area before your hiking adventure kicks off.
- Day 2
Fuschl am See
Start early with a summit trek up to Lake Filblingsee. From there, head over the ridge and descend toward Fuschl Castle, which you might recognize from the Sissi films. The walk back along the lake to Fuschl am See is fairly relaxed and gives your legs a good warmup for the week ahead.

Mondsee and Irrsee
This morning you'll hike step by step up to Wartenfels ruins where you get panoramic views across Lake Mondsee and Lake Irrsee below. If you're feeling stronger, there's an option to climb Schober summit instead for views that take in the whole Salzkammergut lake and mountain landscape.

Attersee to Wolfgangsee
Take a bus to Unterach am Attersee and pick up the lakeside path from there. Later you'll head up through the Burggrabenklamm gorge to Moosalmen, then cross through alpine landscape to reach Schwarzensee where there's a restaurant (Lore am See) for a meal break. Finish by descending down to Wolfgangsee.

Bad Ischl
Walk through the lake trail in Blinklingmoos nature reserve with the Weisses Rössl and Schafberg mountain in view. Then follow the Ischl and Sissi Trail toward Nussensee and eventually into the imperial town of Bad Ischl where you can explore a bit in the afternoon.

Ausseerland
Follow the historic brine pipeline trail into Rettenbachtal valley and climb up to Blaa Alm, which sits at the foot of the Loser massif. After that you'll cross through alpine pastures and meadow paths as you make your way into Ausseerland for the evening.

Hallstatt
Start along the Traun riverside path heading toward Bad Aussee, then hike through the Koppental valley where the Koppenbrüller cave is located if you want to check it out. By boat you'll cross Lake Hallstatt to reach the World Heritage town of Hallstatt with lots to see and explore there.

- Day 8
Gosau Valley and Dachstein
Take a cable car up the Salzberg to see the famous burial ground and salt mine. From there you'll pass the Plassen and head into the Gosau valley for views of Dachstein and Gosaukamm. Return to Hallstatt by bus in the late afternoon or early evening.

Fuschl am See Return
Ferry across Lake Hallstatt and follow the eastern shore path to Bad Goisern. Walk along the brine pipeline path toward Bad Ischl, then catch a bus back to Fuschl am See to finish your circuit and complete the hiking loop.
