Itinerary
- Day 1
Innsbruck
You'll arrive in Innsbruck and spend time checking out the old town, where you can see the iconic city tower and Golden Roof up close. There's an information session included to get you oriented, and you'll sort out bike rental so everything's ready for the cycling portion ahead.

- Day 2
Brenner to Brixen
After breakfast, you'll travel to Brenner Pass by train or minibus, then start cycling on a newly built path that runs mostly alongside the Eisack river. The route takes you through Gossensass and Sterzing, an old Fugger trading town, then continues past Thumberg and Reifenstein Castle. Later you'll pass by Franzensfeste fortress and Vahrner See lake before rolling into Brixen, the episcopal town.

- Day 3
Brixen to Bolzano
Today you'll cycle through Klausen along the Eisack river and head to Waidbruck, where Trostburg Castle comes into view. The valley starts to narrow as you move toward the Bolzano basin. Once there, you can walk around this town where different cultures meet and visit the Archaeological Museum to see Otzi, the famous Iceman.

- Day 4
Bolzano to Trento
You'll cycle from Bolzano along the River Isarco, then switch to following the Adige, riding through orchards toward Salorno where the German-speaking region ends. From there, the route takes you through vineyards known for Teroldego red wine all the way to Trento's old town.

- Day 5
Trento to Rivalta
The valley narrows as you cycle with mountain ranges and historic castles around you, structures that once protected important trade routes. You'll pass through Rovereto and Ala, Mozart's hometown, both worth stopping to check out before continuing on the cycle path to Rivalta.

Rivalta to Verona
This stage runs along a well-kept path beside the Adige river nearly the whole way to Verona, with only short sections off the main route.

- Day 7
Verona to Vicenza
You start on flat terrain, then cycle through hills in the Monti Berici area with nice views over Vicenza. If the longer stage feels like too much, you can catch the train to San Bonifacio instead. Once in Vicenza's old town, you'll get a sense of Palladio's influence, the medieval architect who shaped the city.

- Day 8
Vicenza to Abano Terme
You'll cycle past numerous Venetian villas near Vicenza, including Villa Rotonda, then follow the Bacchiglione river toward Abano Terme, one of Italy's well-known spa towns. From there, you can reach Padua easily by bus to explore the city of St. Anthony and its scholarly heritage. There's plenty of time to soak in the thermal baths if you want.

Abano Terme to Venice Mainland
You'll have a fairly easy ride today through meadows and fields with gentle winds at your back as you head toward the sea. Your cycling ends on the mainland near Venice with good bus connections taking you into the lagoon city.

Departure
