Itinerary
- Day 1
Poznan
You'll fly to Poznan and handle the drive to your hotel on your own. Once you've settled in, meet up with your German-speaking guide and the rest of the group over dinner to get to know everyone.
- Day 2
Poznan - Thorn - Gdansk
Start with a guided walk through Poznan's Old Market Square, taking in the Renaissance town hall and baroque parish church. You'll spend time with local gardeners at the market, chat with them, and try some fresh fruit they have on hand. After that, head to Thorn to wander through its medieval Gothic old town and try the area's famous gingerbread. From there, continue to Gdansk for a two-night stay.

Gdansk
Start your day with a guided tour through Gdansk's old town, taking in St. Catherine's Church, the Great Mill, and City Hall. You'll walk to Marienkirche, which happens to be Europe's largest brick church, then head down Langgasse past beautiful patrician houses toward Langer Markt. The Crane Gate comes next on your route. After that, the afternoon is yours to wander around and get a feel for the city at your own pace. When evening comes, dinner features local specialties at a riverside spot on the Mottlau.

Frombork - Lidzbark Warminski to Mikolajki
Head to Malbork Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site where the Teutonic Knights lived, and explore the High and Middle Castle, Grand Master's Palace, and Laurentius Chapel. From there, you'll travel to Frombork Cathedral positioned on the Vistula Lagoon where Copernicus conducted his work. You'll see the Gothic bishop's castle exterior in Lidzbark Warminski before checking in to your hotel in Mikolajki, which sits on the Masurian Lake District. You'll stay here for 2 nights.

Masuria
Today focuses on Masuria's largely untouched natural landscape with its lakes and forests. You'll take a relaxing walk through Johannisburg Heath, which offers some of the region's most beautiful scenery. If you want something more active, there's an optional punt boat ride where the ferryman pushes the boat along using a pole, and you might spot local wildlife as you go.

Heiligelinde - Allenstein - Warsaw
Travel south from the Masurian Lake District to Heiligelinde, where you'll visit a baroque basilica and catch an organ concert. Later in the afternoon, stroll through Olsztyn to see the 14th-century canons' castle and the old town area. Then head to Warsaw for a two-night stay, wrapping up the evening with Polish specialties at a local restaurant.

Warsaw
Take a guided walk through Warsaw that shows you the city from different angles. You'll start in the Old Town (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and make your way to the modern POWISLE district along the Vistula River. Follow the river's edge on the newly built Vistula Boulevard. After the walk, the rest of the afternoon is yours to explore whatever interests you.

Czestochowa to Krakow
Travel to Czestochowa, Poland's most significant pilgrimage destination, and visit the Pauline Monastery to see the Black Madonna image. Later you'll head to Krakow and spend your evening strolling through the Jewish quarter. Dinner includes Jewish specialties and traditional klezmer music, with local guides sharing the history of Jews in Krakow throughout the meal. Check in for a 2 night stay.

The afternoon is free for your own wandering, and if you're interested, you can arrange an optional visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau Holocaust Memorial.

Krakow to Wroclaw via Swidnica and Krzyzowa
Leave Krakow headed for Wroclaw, stopping along the way to see the Protestant Peace Church in Swidnica, a UNESCO-listed site representing peace and reconciliation. Continue to Krzyzowa in Lower Silesia where you can explore the historic manor house and castle, now functioning as a youth meeting place with a layered and complex history. Arrive in Wroclaw for 2 nights.
