Itinerary
- Day 1
Lusaka
You'll arrive in Lusaka, Zambia's capital, with no scheduled activities until evening. This gives you time to settle in and arrange your accommodation (StayEasy Lusaka Hotel is the official starting point). By evening, you'll join a meet and greet session where you can connect with your fellow travelers and get to know the group before the adventure begins.

Landmarks/POIs Lusaka - Day 2
Lusaka to Lower Zambezi
You'll depart StayEasy Lusaka Hotel early at 06:30 am and drive through the city before heading down the escarpment into Zambezi Valley. Along the way, you'll pass the Kafue River and see the historic Kafue Rail Bridge from 1906. After lunch in Chirundu, you'll continue to Masawu River Camp in the Lower Zambezi Game Management Area. In the afternoon, there's typically a cultural tour to nearby Chiawa Village, followed by dinner and an early night.

Lower Zambezi National Park
Start with light breakfast and then leave camp at 06:40 am in either a closed or open safari vehicle for game viewing. You'll enter the main Lower Zambezi National Park after paying the park entry fees. Lunch will be at one of the main water pools inside the park, and you'll continue game viewing on different loops during the afternoon before returning to Masawu River Camp. Dinner and early sleep follow.

Lower Zambezi to Mumbwa
You'll drive from the Lower Zambezi Valley back up through the escarpment to Lusaka. Once there, you'll tour the Lusaka Museum and then have lunch at a good restaurant in the city. After that, head westward on the M9 highway toward Mumbwa town. You'll check in at a lodge for the night with dinner included, and get an early sleep.

Mumbwa to Busanga Plains
Wake up early, shower, and have breakfast before leaving for Busanga Plains at 06:45 am. You'll cross the Hook bridge and arrive at Bongololo Bushcamp in the Busanga plains by 12:30 pm. After lunch and a short rest, an afternoon game drive runs from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Dinner and sleep follow.

Landmarks/POIs Busanga Plains Hook Bridge - Day 6
Busanga Plains or Alternative: Kafue National Park - Southern Region
You'll spend a full day in Busanga Plains doing game viewing and wildlife spotting. Note that if flooding makes Busanga Plains inaccessible, the itinerary shifts to southern Kafue National Park around the Ngoma Area Management instead, so be flexible with your plans.

Busanga Plains to Lusaka
Depart very early after breakfast for your last game drive crossing through Busanga Plains to the park exit gate. Then cross the Kafue Hook Bridge and join the M9 highway back to Lusaka, arriving around mid-day. Check in at StayEasy Hotel or similar accommodation. If time allows, an optional afternoon city tour features Cairo Road, Findeco House (Lusaka's tallest building), the Bank of Zambia, and independence road. Dinner and sleep in the evening.

Lusaka to South Luangwa National Park
You'll have an early transfer to Lusaka International Airport to catch a domestic flight to Mfuwe International Airport. A tour representative will meet you at the airport for transfer to Royal Jacob South Luangwa Lodge. In the afternoon, you'll take a cultural village tour in Mfuwe. Dinner will be at the lodge.

Landmarks/POIs South Luangwa National Park Mfuwe - Day 9
South Luangwa National Park
Start with early morning breakfast and a briefing from your tour guide. You'll board an open safari vehicle to enter South Luangwa National Park for morning game drives watching for elephants, baboons, lions, and other wildlife. During the hottest part of the day, you'll rest at the lodge. Later, afternoon and evening game drives follow as animals cool down at water banks. You'll return to the lodge in the evening to relax and reflect on the day's sightings.
