Bressanone
Your trip starts in Bressanone with pickup of travel documents and rental bikes if you've reserved them. Spend the afternoon wandering through the old town at a relaxed pace, getting a feel for the layout and charming streets you'll be cycling through over the next few days.

Landmarks Bressanone Old Town - Day 2
Bressanone to Bolzano
You'll cycle on a converted railway track that runs from Bressanone down to Bolzano, a route that descends gradually through some really nice scenery. The path takes you past the medieval town of Chiusa where you can see the Säben monastery, then through narrowing valleys lined with vineyards typical of northern Italy. Once you reach Bolzano, there's time to check out the arcades and the Ötzi museum (free entry with your Bressanone Card), plus Piazza Walther. Afterward, you'll hop on a train back to Bressanone.

- Day 3
Bressanone
A shuttle bus takes you up to Elvas in the morning, and from there you'll cycle through gentle, rolling terrain across orchards with great views down into the Puster Valley and Isarco Valley. The route connects several small villages together. On the way back, stop at the Augustinian Abbey of Neustift where they keep the world's smallest Bible, which is a fairly unique piece to see.

Brenner Pass to Bressanone
You'll take a morning train to Brenner Pass, then start cycling from Brennero on a recently added bike path that runs mostly alongside the Isarco river. The ride takes you through Gossensass and then to Vipiteno, a historic city with ties to the Fugger family. You'll have a longer break here to rest and grab food, then continue downhill past Castle Reifenstein and Franzensfeste fortress before heading back to Bressanone with just a few kilometers left to cover.

Bressanone
This is a shorter cycling day with a gentle uphill stretch to Lake Varna. If you want, there's a Kneipp facility in Varna where you can refresh yourself. Since the distance is manageable, you'll have extra time to use your Bressanone Card for things like cable car rides up Plose, museum visits, guided tours, or hiking depending on what interests you.

Pusteria Valley to Bressanone
A morning train takes you to either Brunico or Toblach in the Pusteria Valley, and then most of your cycling is downhill along the Rienz river on a beautiful path as you leave the valley behind. You'll pass the striking green waters of the Olang reservoir near Brunico, which has a local history museum nearby. From there, the route continues smoothly through the lower Pusteria Valley, past Mühlbacher Klause, and into the Isarco Valley before finishing back in Bressanone.
