The beauty of the lakes countryside cannot be overstated. With every turn, every climb, every downhill, we were amazed by the wonders of rural Germany. We could only hope for more miles of touring, as every pedal was a delight. But yes, we could only hope for more miles, for despite asking for and signing up for what we thought was a `sporty' ride with days of 40 to 60 miles of pedaling, Tourradar provided us with the regular Munich lakes ride. This meant days of 15 to 40 miles of biking. Our roads did not go on forever, but stopped in three or four hours. While we alerted the company of this prior to the ride, we never received the tour maps or GPS for longer rides. Another concern we had was the amount of gravel bikeways. We were surprised by how they predominated somedays, and were sometimes bewildered by what constitutes a gravel path. Paths with rocks the size of your fist doesn't come to mind when you think of gravel roadways. We would be remiss if we did not mention the Tourradar staff. Even with our concerns about the tour, each staff person we dealt with was kind, understanding, and wanting to be helpful. We sincerely appreciated their help and efforts, even though they were unable to provide the tour we requested.
