- The Getreidegasse in Salzburg is not only the birthplace of one of the most famous Austrians – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. It is also a wonderful place to marvel, stroll and people watch. The artistic guild shop signs whisk you away into the history of the place, its shops and craftsmen. The pretty inner courtyards and through houses show the special architecture of this place, where traditional shops alternate with international boutiques.
- The turquoise green Attersee is the largest lake in the Austrian Alps and is often referred to as the ‘Caribbean of the Salzkammergut’. Whether it’s a swim in the waves, a dive or a boat trip, pure relaxation awaits!
- The Hallstatt World Heritage Site: Small but mighty! With 746 inhabitants, Hallstatt is small, but the village has a lot to offer. A beautiful lake, picturesque town centre, historic ossuary and impressive ‘Skywalk’ are just a few examples.
- The panorama from the Schafberg on Lake Wolfgang is probably one of the best in the entire Salzkammergut.You can also taste a culinary delicacy in the ‘Himmelspforte’. That’s the refuge on the summit of the mountain.
