When we purchased this trip we upgraded from tour class to first class (several thousands $). We were told all hotels would be 5 star and centrally located. The majority of the hotels were 3 star at best (half of those were 2 star) and over half were in remote locations, making it very difficult on evenings when we were on our own for dinner or even to enjoy free time. We were also told the first class tour would have a maximum of 40 people, we were 43. Our introduction to our tour director left a sour taste, the first thing he talked about was to remember to tip him at the end of the trip. I think he was supposed to be away with his buddies and they threw this trip at him at the last minute. Unfortunately, he took that out on us. He was not accommodating to the personal needs and comfort of ALL passengers on the bus. There were several long days of driving and he was not engaging at all. France was very disappointing. We were supposed to stop at Vimy Ridge along the way. When I asked when we would be there, he said "Oh, we drove by there 5 minutes ago." Never even mentioned it. We were in Paris on a Sunday. It was a known fact months in advance that this would be a car free day. The only thing we saw of Paris that was included in the trip was a 45 minutes walking tour of the Latin Quarter. We went to both Biarritz AND Cannes. Too much free time here. No need to see how the rich and famous live in so many places. Both places were beautiful but it didn't need to occupy 2.5 days We were in Luzern on a Sunday as well, known fact that all the stores are closed. The initial itinerary had lots of things planned for Sunday but our tour director decided to move some of those things to Saturday, which left a big gaping hole on Sunday with absolutely nothing to do. The majority of the provided dinners were terrible. The food was raw and served stone cold. In Munich, the wait staff acted like they weren't even expecting us and there wasn't enough food for everyone. In cities where we only stayed one night, Bordeaux, Florence, Munich and Boppard, we had absolutely no time to explore. We were arriving at our hotels so late, by the time we had dinner it was time for bed. We did almost all of the optional excursions (that's the only way to get the most out of this trip) and even then, half the time was free time. What am I paying for? If you book this trip, be prepared for a very fast pace, living out of a suitcase, long bus rides and not getting to really enjoy any of these cities.

A great tour to get a glimpse of lots of Europe. Kassie was a great tour guide going above and beyond to help the group with anything the required. She showed us lot of hidden gems along the way. Very pleasant young lady.

Did the Trafalgar 27 day Great European in August 2019 with Kassie Jones as our Travel Director. Was a great itinerary allowing us to see so much of Europe. Also, Kassie is a great travel director, making sure that everyone was looked after and had a great time.

Kassie made this once in a lifetime trip so much better than I imagined it could be! Kassie obviously loves her career and does an exceptional job. Probably my favorite attribute of Kassie's is that she treats everyone exactly the same - I know that we all loved her.

Kassie your energy, knowledge and professionalism was great. How you can project the aforementioned tour after your I suspect speaks volumes about you personally and you can only be an asset to Trafalgar. The tour was a great product. The last couple of countries lacked a little punch it's difficult to articulate , perhaps they lacked a little history. They were however pretty and by this point in the tour I suspect most are happy to sit back and chill. The catering was adequate but quite a spectrum in terms of quality and service. Accommodation was also a littlei mixed. Apart from Amsterdam the location s were great. Overall I was a happy camper. Thanks again

Terrific , comprehensive overall coverage of Europe's best attractions in 27 days that is possible. Lots of optional experiences to chose from, able to read about before hand and review and get a reasonable idea of what would interest you, can check accommodation out online before No reason to be ill prepared financially, dress wise, fitness ability, everything is well covered if you do your homework before. Allow a day or so either side of finishing to have enough time to make flights and not risk stressing over missing flights or joining other tours. It was our 4th Trafalgar and would not even consider another company. The tour directors, bus drivers, and general organization associated with Trafalgar is exceptional.
