  Greg made the trip! Friendly, fun, helpful and took the time to connect to each one of us. We had a great time and enjoyed every city and option we had. More local food (salmon, lamb, sticky toffee pudding?) would have been nice and a room with a nice view at least once would have been magnificent. We had perfect weather - no rain! And, we are sure it was that way because our trip was blessed. It was great - because Greg was great!

  The itinerary attracted me to this tour. The pace was a little fast at times, but we clocked up a lot of kilometres and saw some amazing sights with some lovely people. Greg (our tour director) and Stephen (our coach driver) worked tirelessly to personalise the tour experience for all of the travellers.

  This was my first tour with Insight and travelling alone so I was understandably anxious prior to the tour starting. Within seconds of meeting the Travel Director Greg Colgin all anxieties left! His sense of humour, approachable personality, exceptional knowledge of each destination and random places on the way was amazing and he delivered all the historical information in an interesting and engaging way (history was not my best subject at school!) From starting each morning on the bus with the Beatles song "Here Comes The Sun" (which totally worked as there was only one day out of 21 that I got caught in the rain!) to giving us clear information about meet up times, locations, free time, wake up times etc., I didn't have to worry about anything. When a problem did arise he was attentive and sincere with hus responses and moved 'heaven and earth' to rectify the situation - thank you Greg for a fantastic vacation - you made a conesive team out of 32 strangers!

  Greg was wonderful to travel with. He was well versed in our destinations, knew the history and the back stories and was able to answer all of our questions. He also has a good sense of humor.

  This is the second tour I've taken with Insight and it was a very good time. Greg works very hard at making the experience "one to remember" and in this case he did just that. He constantly seeks out any potential problems and seems always to be just a step, or two, ahead of the problem. He is very good at building comradery with the group and made it a great experience.

  Greg Colgin made the trip. He is very organized and always two steps ahead of what’s happening next.   Tour was fabulous. Gregg made it seem seamless with his knowledge of the country’s and easy going manner. We would defiantly go on another journey with Greg being the host. Here comes the sun.

  Greg is very professional but still greets with a smile and loves to.have a laugh-he is informative and there to assist when needed he gives a very positive outlook to all that he does and makes it a very cheerfull stress free happy holiday

  This was our 3rd Insight tour. Romantic Britain & Ireland. We had an excellent driver in Mike who always went above and beyond making all guests feel welcome. We found him to be an excellent driver at all times and any guest that have him as their driver will be very impressed by him. We had booked 2 rooms for our 3 family members & were very disappointed after requesting interconnecting rooms where possible (fully understanding that some hotels don't offer this) That on arrival at some of the hotels that we were actually placed on different floors or on one occasion 18 rooms & 3 long corridors separated us. We had asked our tour director to request we be located as close as possible so this surprised us when on arrival we would have to re negotiate rooms our selves. With the reception staff advising that they had no idea that even though there were 2 rooms booked in the same surname that we might have been together??? Anyway I have to say we really enjoyed seeing beautiful Ireland, it was amazing & would encourage people to do a similar tour. I am not sure if we will ever travel Insight again due to the standard of hotels in particular the final two nights while we did manage rooms side by side whilst not interconnecting at least we were close. Apparently Both rooms had unsafe balconies so the large sliding doors out to the lovely view & fresh air of Torquay could not be enjoyed by our family in either room as they had to be permanently bolted shut except for 4 cm & even the windows were deemed unsafe & screwed shut . The days were hot & sunny & with windows & doors bolted shut it made our stay very uncomfortable to say the least. We were offered at a late hour to transfer to another hotel however rooms were on separate floors & as we had an early start each day we would need to be back at the tour hotel for breakfast & to join the tour in time for the early start. We decided to stay in our rooms. It was an awful couple of nights sealed in our room at this lovely seaside location we were supplied a couple of fans as the rooms have no air conditioning as the rooms would have been designed to enjoy the sea breezes you would get if you could open your doors & windows that were originally meant to open but now deemed unsafe to do so . Our other tour friends told us they felt sorry for us in this situation & embarrassed as they had been sitting out on their lovely balconies enjoying them as you would hope they would be. We definitely would not have wished our rooms on any one else & were glad for them they got decent rooms. Was very disappointing indeed.
