- Day 1
Cape Town
Your driver-guide meets you at Cape Town airport and takes you to your hotel. After you check in, the afternoon and evening are open for you to do whatever you'd like, whether that's resting at the hotel or wandering around town to get your bearings.

- Day 2
Cape Town
Grab breakfast and then head out to see Cape Town's main sites, stopping at the Castle of Good Hope, City Hall, and St. George's Cathedral. From there you'll walk through the Company Gardens into the Bo-Kaap neighborhood. Later, Table Mountain is next on the itinerary, where you'll take a cable car up to the top for views across the city and coast (if weather cooperates). The day finishes with a ferry ride to Robben Island, where you'll learn about its history as a prison and Nelson Mandela's 18 years of detention there.

- Day 3
Cape Peninsula
Today takes you out to the Cape Peninsula. First stop is Duiker Island, home to hundreds of thousands of seals lounging on the rocks. After that you'll head to Cape Point Nature Reserve and take a funicular up to visit the lighthouse. Simon's Town comes next, where you can see African penguins in their natural habitat. The day wraps up at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, which has over 7,000 plant species on display (spring and summer bring out colorful blooms across the grounds).

Franschhoek - Stellenbosch - Paarl
Following breakfast, you'll take a guided tour through South Africa's main wine regions: Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, and Paarl. Franschhoek shows off French-influenced architecture and wine estates worth exploring. You'll also check out the Huguenot Memorial Museum and see Cape Dutch style buildings throughout the area. The region has quality restaurants scattered around if you want to grab lunch or dinner.

- Day 5
Oudtshoorn
After breakfast you're driving about 4 hours on Route 62 heading to Oudtshoorn, which is known for ostrich farming. At a local farm there you'll get up close to these large birds and learn how they're raised. Next you'll head into Cango Caves, where stalactites hang from limestone formations underground. You'll spend the night in Oudtshoorn.

George - Knysna
Following breakfast, the journey goes toward George Town, passing by historical spots like the Slave Tree and King Edward VII Library Building along the way. After a quick break, it's about an hour's drive to Knysna (locals call it the Oyster Box of South Africa) through Wilderness. You'll stop at Eastern Head and Brenton on Sea for nice views of the town and coastline. The day ends with a relaxing lagoon cruise on the water.

Knysna - Tsitsikamma National Park
Starting from Knysna West Head, your private vehicle takes you to Tsitsikamma National Park. Two sanctuaries are on the schedule: Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary and Birds of Eden, where you can get close to wildlife. The highlight is the Bloukrans Bridge, which is the world's highest single-span bridge and offers impressive views of the area below.

Tsitsikamma National Park
After breakfast you'll go into Tsitsikamma National Park and head to Storms River Mouth. There's a coastal walk showing off the different landscapes, mixing forest, river, and ocean views together. It's one of the best natural spots to see on this part of the trip, giving you a real sense of South Africa's coastal landscape.

Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg
Your driver takes you through Tsitsikamma Forest toward Port Elizabeth airport, about 2.5 hours away. From there you'll catch a domestic flight to Johannesburg, which takes roughly 1.5 hours. A local driver meets you when you land and transfers you to your hotel.

Johannesburg
The day in Johannesburg is completely yours to plan however you want. If history interests you, the Apartheid Museum goes deep into South Africa's past. Top of Africa gives city views from way up high. Nelson Mandela Square has shops if you're looking for local souvenirs or gifts to take home.

Johannesburg to Kruger National Park - Panorama Route
In the morning you fly from Johannesburg to Kruger National Park. Once you land, your driver-guide picks you up and starts the Panorama Route tour. You'll see God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon, and Three Rondawels, each offering different views of the landscape and cultural history of the region.

- Day 12
Balule Nature Reserve - Safari Lodge
During the morning you transfer to your Safari Lodge in Balule Nature Reserve. As evening comes, you'll join other guests for a shared open-vehicle game drive with an experienced ranger and tracker. They'll search for the Big Five: lions, leopard, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. After the drive ends, you'll have dinner at the lodge.

- Day 13
Kruger National Park - Safari
The safari picks up early with a dawn drive after coffee or tea, since animals are most active when the sun comes up. Your ranger and tracker work together to find the best viewing spots. After about 3 hours you return to the lodge for breakfast, then you can swim or go on a bush walk with the ranger. Later in the afternoon another sunset game drive happens, similar to yesterday's.
