- Anthony· July 29th, 2025Our six-day tour of Bhutan was nothing short of magical, thanks to our incredible guide Norbu and our skilled driver Nidup. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of — every detail was thoughtfully planned, and the warmth and hospitality we received made us feel right at home. Norbu was the heart of the trip. His deep knowledge of Bhutanese culture, history, and traditions brought every site to life. Whether we were exploring ancient monasteries, trekking to the breathtaking Tiger’s Nest, or visiting peaceful villages, Norbu’s stories and insights added layers of meaning and made every moment special. He was patient, engaging, and genuinely passionate about sharing his beautiful country with us. Nidup was an absolute professional behind the wheel — navigating the winding mountain roads with skill and confidence. We always felt safe, and his friendly nature and quiet humor added to the overall positive energy of the trip. Bhutan itself is an incredible destination, but it was Norbu and Nidup who made it unforgettable. If you’re considering a tour of Bhutan, I can’t recommend this team highly enough. Five stars all the way! 🌟Show more
- Kien· April 21st, 2025Our guide Kinza was amazing and guided us to many places of interest. She even led us to many restaurants to taste the delicious local food. The driver Tashi was very experienced and kept us safe along the winding and narrow mountainous roads. Thank you for a wonderful trip.Show more
- Sandra· April 19th, 2025I had the most amazing time while visiting Bhutan with Acorn. My guide, Lobzang, and my driver, Tshering, were the kindest, friendliest, most welcoming, and nicest human beings. They made my trip truly special, and I feel grateful and happy to have met them and to have explored this beautiful country with them. Our days were filled with joy, laughter, beautiful landscapes, nature, hikes, history, spirituality, culture, fun facts, and amazing Bhutanese cuisine. I loved every moment of my journey. Lobzang was super knowledgeable and always shared his genuine passion for Bhutan in a very attentive and meaningful manner. He brought every place we visited to life and ensured I was well prepared for our Tiger’s Nest hike. Tshering always made sure we got everywhere safely. His driving skills were outstanding on even the most winding roads, and he was super attentive and kind. Both Lobzang and Tshering always took proper care to ensure everything ran smoothly. This has been one of the best trips of my life, and they played a big part in that!Show more

Asked on January 30th, 2024What level of fitness is required? What is recommended training. Will we need mountaineering training for this?
- Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperator•Written January 2024
If you are hikers and physically fit, no mountaineering training is required. Do you have prior experience of hiking at some high altitude? It will definitely help if you do. If you don't, no problem as long as you are physically fit. You will have some time to adapt to the high altitude before starting the trek. However, I recommend you train and maybe seek advice from your physician.
