Arrival in Riga
You'll arrive in Riga and head straight to your hotel to check in. After getting settled, there's a welcome meeting where the group gathers to go over what's coming up on the Baltic tour.

- Day 2
Riga
Start with a morning walking tour through Riga's Art Nouveau district, then move into the medieval Old Town. You'll see Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, and the Freedom Monument along the way. If you're interested, the afternoon gives you a chance to visit the Ethnographical Open Air Museum to check out how people lived in the 18th century in rural areas.

Riga to Tallinn
The drive takes you along Estonia's coastal highway to Parnu, a summer resort town where you'll stop briefly. From there, you'll head through North Estonia's forested landscape and pull into Tallinn by early afternoon. Check into your hotel and settle in for the evening.

- Day 4
Tallinn
Join a sightseeing tour through Tallinn's ancient city walls, visiting Toompea Castle, the Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, and the Old Town Hall. You'll have time to wander through medieval shops and cafes in the Old Town. Later, you can optionally check out Kadriorg Park and the KUMU art museum, or try medieval dining at Restaurant Maikrahv.

Tallinn
The day's yours to explore Tallinn however you like. If you want something more structured, there's a 6-hour excursion to Lahemaa National Park where you'll visit Palmse Manor, Sagadi Manor, and Vihula Manor from the 16th century. There's also a Vodka Museum if that interests you.

Tallinn to Tartu
You'll travel to Tartu, an old university town that's important to Estonian history. Explore the Old Town and visit the University, which was established back in 1632. After checking into your hotel, the afternoon is free to do as you please.

- Day 7
Tartu to Grasi Manor, Latvia
Depart Tartu heading south through Estonia and into Latvia. Stop at Stameriena, a town connected to Italian writer Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, then continue to Gulbene to visit a family-owned cider brewery and sample their products. By evening, you'll arrive at Grasi Manor, a classicist estate, and have dinner there.

Grasi Manor to Daugavpils
Leave Grasi and head to Aglona to see the late baroque Aglona Basilica and visit a ceramics workshop showing Latgalian culture. Then continue to Daugavpils, Latvia's second city, where you'll tour the historic center and the 19th-century fortress. The Mark Rothko Art Centre here has the only collection of his work in Europe. You'll stay at Hotel Svente Manor just outside the city.

Daugavpils to Vilnius, Lithuania
Continue south into Lithuania and arrive at Aukstatija National Park around midday. The park is known for its many lakes, streams, and forested rolling hills. You'll take a leisurely walk through the area and visit Paluse, a lakeside town famous for its wooden church. Later, head to Vilnius and check into your hotel.

Vilnius
Take a morning walking tour through Vilnius's Old Town, seeing the Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, St. Anne's Church, the Old University, and the Gates of Dawn. The city has over 1,200 medieval buildings and 48 churches to explore. In the afternoon, you can optionally visit the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania to see the fortifications and historical armaments collection.
