Chengdu
You'll arrive in Chengdu and get picked up from the airport, then head to your hotel. If your flight comes in early, you'll have the rest of the day to walk around the city and get a feel for the place at your own speed.

- Day 2
Chengdu
Your hotel pickup happens at 8:00am, and from there you'll drive out to Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Base. The morning is the best time to see the pandas when they're eating. After that, you'll pick three attractions from the available options like temples, museums, or local alleys and squares to check out around the city.

- Day 3
Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou
Early 8:00am pickup to start a 7-hour drive toward Huanglong. You'll have a local guide showing you the area, walking through the water terraces and taking in the mountain views. By evening you'll be transferred to your hotel near Jiuzhaigou for the night.

Jiuzhaigou
You'll spend the whole day in Jiuzhaigou Reserve on a sightseeing bus, seeing spots like Wolong Lake, Shuzheng Lake and waterfall, Tiger Lake, Xiniu Lake, Nuorilang Lake, and Long Lake, along with other scenic areas throughout the reserve.

Jiuzhaigou to Jiange
After breakfast, a 5-hour drive takes you to Jianmen Fort, a well-preserved fortress built into the mountains thousands of years ago. You'll walk the old mountain paths and learn about China's history while looking out at the surrounding landscape.

Jiange to Langzhong
Two hours driving gets you to Langzhong Old Town, one of China's four major ancient towns with more than 2,000 years behind it. The layout and historic houses and temples are still intact. You'll stay at a nice local guesthouse in town.

Langzhong
This day is yours to wander Langzhong Old Town however you like. Drop into temples and studios, check out gardens, try some local food, or just walk around finding things that catch your eye in this old preserved town.

Langzhong to Emei
Four hours by car and you'll reach Leshan to see the Leshan Grand Buddha, a huge statue finished in 803 AD standing 71 meters tall. It's the largest ancient Buddha statue still around, sitting where three rivers meet. You can climb up close or take a boat ride to see it from the water, then head to your hotel near Emeishan.
