Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport and meet your tour representative who'll arrange your hotel transfer. After a quick briefing about the trip ahead, head out in the evening to pick up trekking gear you'll need for the coming days.

Kathmandu
Following breakfast, spend the day checking out Kathmandu's UNESCO sites: Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. By evening, do a final review of your trekking equipment before departing.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
After breakfast, take a 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, with great views of forested hills and snow-capped peaks along the way. Once you land, start trekking toward Phakding through local villages on an easy trail, then settle in for the day.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Trek gradually through villages and pine forest to reach Jorsalle, then follow the Dudh Koshi River. The trail gets steep as you head up toward Namche Bazaar, where you'll get clear views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Nuptse.

Namche Bazaar
Today's an acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. Climb steeply for about an hour to Syangboche for mountain views, then drop down to Khumjung to see Sir Edmund Hillary School and the hospital there, before returning to town for the evening.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Descend through villages and pine forests, passing by monasteries and Chortens on the way to Phunki Tenga. From there, walk through lush meadows and pastures, then climb steeply up to Tengboche where you'll visit the region's main Tengboche Monastery.

Tengboche to Pheriche
Start with a gradual descent through steep, muddy sections until crossing a suspension bridge. After that, climb up through small villages and conifer, rhododendron, and birch forest. Pass through Pangboche, Somare, and Orsho villages before reaching Pheriche via Pheriche pass at 4,271m/14,013ft.

Pheriche to Lobuche
Trek on an easy trail to Dughla, where you'll see tombstones marking climbers who didn't summit Everest. Head up to Thokla pass at 4,830m/15,846ft for great views of the Everest region peaks, then continue to Lobuche for rest and exploration.

- Day 9
Lobuche to Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp
Wake early, have breakfast, then trek with several climbs and descents to Gorakshep below Mt. Pumori. From there, reach Everest Base Camp at 5,364m/17,598ft and see the Khumbu glacier with its blue ice and Icefall. Spend time at EBC, then return to Gorakshep.

Gorakshep to Kalapatthar to Dingboche
Wake early and trek to Kalapatthar, climbing to 5,550m/18,209ft for panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Descend all the way to Dingboche through Dusa village.

Dingboche to Chhukung
Leave Dingboche and trek along a trail parallel to the Imja River. Walk through pasturelands where yaks and cattle graze, then head up to Chhukung, which marks the start of the Island Peak expedition. Optional day trips to Glacier or Imja Tse Valley are available.

Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp
Trek on an ascending trail heading east toward the main valley. Walk along a streamside to a large rock where you can see the Amphu Lapcha route to the southeast. Zigzag through Imja and Lhotse glacier moraines to reach Island Peak Base Camp in the wide valley.

Island Peak Base Camp to High Camp
Climb steeply through challenging terrain on rocky paths with views of the Imja glacier and lake. After roughly three hours of trekking, reach High Camp. The trail can be slippery with steep sections, so careful footing is important.

Landmarks/POIs Imja Glacier - Day 14
Island Peak High Camp to Island Peak Summit to Chhukung
Wake early and begin trekking to Island Peak at 6,189m/20,305ft. The trail isn't extremely strenuous but has several steep rocky sections. Trek along the ridgeline to the summit glacier, then use ropes for the final push to the summit. Take in panoramic views of Everest region peaks before descending back to Chhukung.

Landmarks/POIs Island Peak - Day 15
Chhukung to Pangboche to Tengboche
Descend through dwarf junipers and beautiful Mani stones, walking through Mani walls and dense rhododendron forest. Cross Imja Khola, then climb to Pangboche to visit Pangboche Gompa, one of the oldest monasteries in the Khumbu region.

Tengboche to Namche Bazaar
Trek back to Namche Bazaar on a steep descent toward the Hillary Suspension Bridge. After crossing the bridge, the walk to Namche is easier. You'll see porters and cattle carrying loads along the trail. Once you arrive, rest or explore the area.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
With final views of the mountains, leave Namche Bazaar and trek back to Lukla on the same route. Pass through Monjo and Bengkar villages. Think about what you've accomplished during this trek as you head back to Lukla.

Lukla to Kathmandu
Have a warm breakfast before leaving Lukla, then take a short scenic flight back to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is free to relax and explore the nearby area on your own.
