  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu

    When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, an Alpine Club representative will meet you and drive you to your hotel. After settling in, you'll have free time to walk around Thamel district and see what catches your eye. This evening brings a welcome dinner with authentic Nepalese food hosted by Alpine Club of Himalaya.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu

    Following breakfast, you'll take a guided tour through Kathmandu's historic sites and UNESCO World Heritage locations. The day covers Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Bouddhanath stupa. At midday, you'll sit down with your trek leader and team members to discuss the upcoming trek and ask any questions. You'll stay another night in Kathmandu.

    Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

    Early morning departure from Kathmandu takes you toward Syabrubesi, the starting point for Langtang Valley treks. The drive follows a winding road with sharp switchbacks, and on clear days you'll see views of Manaslu, Annapurna, and Ganesh Himal. You'll arrive in Syabrubesi village and settle in for the night.

  4. Day 4

    Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

    Your trek starts from Syabrubesi, heading along the Langtang Khola through oak and rhododendron forests. The route includes a bridge crossing and a steep climb to Lama Hotel, where you'll spend the night.

  5. Day 5

    Lama Hotel to Mundu

    From Lama Hotel, you'll continue climbing through mountain terrain with several waterfalls along the way. The path goes through grassy meadows at Ghoda Tabela with views of white Langtang peaks, passes through an expanding valley with temporary herder settlements and a Buddhist monastery, then reaches Langtang village. After that, you'll continue to Mundu for the night.

  6. Day 6

    Mundu to Kyangjin Gompa

    The trek to Kyangjin Gompa passes water mills, prayer wheels, chortens, and prayer-inscribed rocks. You'll walk by the largest Mani Wall in Nepal, which is covered with prayers carved into stones. In the afternoon, you'll have time to explore the Buddhist shrine at Kyangjin Gompa and take in the mountain views.

  7. Day 7

    Tserko Ri

    This day focuses on acclimatization with a trek to Tserko Ri. You'll start before sunrise, move through yak pastures, and climb to the summit to watch the sunrise. Later in the afternoon you'll head back to Kyangjin Gompa to spend more time at the monastery and enjoy views of the glaciers, birds, and yaks in the Himalayan landscape.

  8. Day 8

    Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel

    You'll retrace your steps back toward Lama Hotel on a path that's mostly downhill. Walking through lush forests and Tamang villages, you'll see the Himalayas from different angles than on your way up. Overnight at Lama Hotel.

  9. Day 9

    Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru

    The trek begins with a climb to Rimche Village, then drops down to the Langtang Khola before following an easier path to Bamboo. From there you'll climb to Landslide Lodge and continue on to Thulo Syabru. Near a bridge, you'll have a choice between two trail options, one passing by Pahare Hotel and a waterfall at 2,210 meters. You'll spend the night in Thulo Syabru.

  10. Day 10

    Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa

    Today's trek covers a shorter distance to help your body adjust before moving to higher elevations. You'll pass a chorten and checkpoint, then head south through Garta Village and past Phulung Monastery. By evening, you'll reach Shin Gompa for the night.

  11. Day 11

    Shin Gompa to Gosaikunda

    This section offers panoramic views of the Annapurnas, Hiunchuli, Manaslu, Ganesh, and Langtang ranges. Much of the trek follows a ridge where you'll first see the sacred lakes. You'll reach Gosaikunda at 4,380 meters, a lake with deep religious and cultural importance and one of Nepal's most significant pilgrimage destinations. Ten lakes surround the area, and you'll stay the night here.

  12. Day 12

    Gosaikunda to Ghopte

    You'll spend the morning exploring Gosaikunda's shores, then climb toward Laurebina Pass at 4,610 meters. This marks the beginning of the Helambu region, with the trail descending into Melamchi Valley afterward. The route crosses rough terrain with moraines marked by cairns, passes three small lakes, and reaches the pass. You'll climb a small hill for views of the surrounding peaks, then continue through Surya Kunda to Ghopte for the night.

  13. Day 13

    Ghopte to Melamchigaon

    You'll trek through mixed terrain with both climbs and descents, passing through dense forests to reach Thare Pati Village. The route involves climbing a ridge with nice views of Nepalese hills, particularly Soli Danda. After crossing two suspension bridges, you'll arrive at Melamchigaon, a village known for its monastery. You'll stay overnight here.

  14. Day 14

    Melamchigaon to Tarkeghyang

    After passing a stupa and crossing a small stream below Tarkeghyang, you'll wind through forests and climb to Ama Yangri at 3,800 meters, the highest point of your trek. At the top, you'll find a stupa and prayer flags with views of Mount Shishapangma and the Langtang ranges appearing very close. Later, you'll descend through forest and reach Tarkeghyang, a Sherpa village, for the night.

  15. Day 15

    Tarkeghyang to Sermathang

    Today's trek follows a relatively easy trail through forests, small villages, chortens, a monastery, and a Mani Wall before reaching Sermathang. This Sherpa village offers views of Ganesh Himal, Jugal Himal, and Langtang ranges, and on clear days you might see Mount Everest in the distance. You'll spend the night in Sermathang.

  16. Day 16

    Sermathang to Kathmandu

    You'll trek through meadows, fields, and villages to reach Melamchi Bazaar, then drive back to Kathmandu. After freshening up and taking time to relax in the city, you'll attend a farewell dinner hosted by Alpine Club of Himalaya to celebrate completing the trek through Langtang and Helambu. You'll stay another night in Kathmandu.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before February 17th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 17th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Alpine Club of Himalaya. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
