Itinerary
- Day 1
Rajkot to Junagadh to Gir
You'll start early and drive from Rajkot toward Junagadh, stopping to climb Mount Girnar and walk around the Mohabbat Maqbara mausoleum with a local English-speaking guide who'll fill you in on the history. The landscape changes quite a bit as you move through the region, and by late afternoon you'll arrive at Gir National Park. After checking into your hotel, you'll have the evening to rest up before the wildlife activities tomorrow.

Gir National Park
This morning you're heading out on a gypsy safari through Gir Wildlife Sanctuary with a naturalist guide. You'll keep your eyes open for Asiatic lions, panthers, deer, and antelopes moving through the terrain. The birdlife here is really something too, and you'll likely spot crested serpent eagles and paradise flycatchers if conditions are right. After the safari, you'll stop by the crocodile farm before heading back to the hotel for lunch and downtime.

Gir to Rajkot
There's an optional early safari available if you want another chance at spotting any wildlife you missed the previous day. From there, you'll pack up and drive back toward Rajkot, taking in the scenery along the way. By evening you'll either head to your hotel in Rajkot or go straight to the airport depending on your flight time, wrapping up the trip.
