Bagdogra to Darjeeling
You'll arrive at Bagdogra airport where your driver meets you for the drive up to Darjeeling. This hill station sits high in the Himalayas and you'll notice the views open up as you climb. Once you check into your hotel and get settled, head out in the evening to wander through the local markets. They're full of handicrafts, tea shops, and plenty of activity, so there's a lot to take in as you get your bearings on your first day.

Darjeeling
Start early and head to Tiger Hill for the sunrise to see Mount Kanchenjunga from there. From there, you'll go to Ghoom Monastery which is a peaceful spot. After breakfast, you've got several stops lined up: the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute museum, then the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park where you can look for rare wildlife. Later you'll take a ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway for that nostalgic train experience, visit Tenzing Rock, and stop by the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center. By evening you'll have time to relax and rest.

Darjeeling to Bagdogra
Before heading to Bagdogra airport, take a slow walk through Rock Garden and Ganga Maya Park where you'll see waterfalls and flowering plants. Then your driver takes you back down to the airport. It's a nice way to end your time in Darjeeling before you leave, with those tea-scented hills as your last impression.
