You'll arrive in Manaus and get settled at your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to wander around the city on your own. Later, you'll meet your Tour Director who will fill you in on what's ahead for the rest of the tour.

Manaus
This morning starts with a cruise to see the Meeting of the Waters, where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões flow side by side for four miles without mixing. You'll pass the British-built Customs House and floating port, then head to a jungle island to check out native plants and animals. By evening, you'll arrive at Ecopark Jungle Lodge on the Rio Negro where you'll be staying.

Manaus
A Naturalist leads you on a guided walk through the jungle to spot local plants and wildlife. Later, you'll visit an Amazon native Caboclo Village to learn about how people live there and try piranha fishing. After lunch, head to the Monkey Jungle Reserve to see primates that have been rehabilitated. In the evening, take a night canoe ride with your Naturalist to hear jungle sounds and watch for creatures that come out after dark.

Manaus to Rio de Janeiro
Leave the Ecopark and travel back to Manaus for a guided tour of the city, focusing on its rubber boom past. See the Opera House from 1896, built with European materials and craftsmanship. Explore a local market filled with Amazonian foods and products. Then head to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro.

Rio de Janeiro
Spend your morning at ease. At 3:30pm, your Tour Director picks you up for a drive along the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana before heading to Sugarloaf Mountain. Take a cable car up to the 1,300-foot summit for great views of the city, then relax at a cocktail party where you'll have caipirinhas while taking in the scenery.

Rio de Janeiro
Ride the cog railway up Corcovado Mountain to the Christ the Redeemer statue for 360-degree views across Rio. Afterward, go downtown to see the Sambódromo and visit the Cathedral. The afternoon is free to explore the city however you like. Later, head to a churrascaria where you'll have barbecued meats roasted over charcoal in traditional Brazilian style.

Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu Falls
Fly from Rio to Iguassu Falls and experience the massive cascade with its spray and tropical vegetation all around. Your Local Guide takes you into Brazil's Iguassu National Park on the Brazilian side to explain what you're seeing, the 2-mile-wide rushing water with cataracts reaching up to 250 feet high. Watch for toucans, giant otters, anteaters, tapirs, and other wildlife in the area.

Iguassu Falls (Argentine Side)
Cross into Argentina by motorcoach to see Iguassu Falls from the other side. Board the Ecological Jungle Train for a closer look, then walk the catwalks positioned over part of the Devil's Throat where 14 waterfalls drop more than 300 feet. Take the lower trails through the rainforest to get near smaller waterfalls. The rest of your day is free to do as you please.

Iguassu Falls to Buenos Aires
Head across the Brazilian border into Argentina by motorcoach and transfer to Cataratas del Iguazu International Airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. Once you arrive, take a walking tour through the 'Paris of South America' with its wide streets and outdoor cafés to get familiar with the city.

Start your day in La Boca, the lively district where the city's first port was located, for a short walking tour. Move on to San Telmo with its late-colonial architecture and artist community. Visit Plaza de Mayo to see La Casa Rosada and the Metropolitan Cathedral, then pass by the ornate Teatro Colón opera house. Head to Recoleta Cemetery where Eva Perón is buried. In a hands-on cooking class, learn to make empanadas. After some free time in the afternoon, attend a tango house where professional dancers teach traditional Argentine Tango. You'll spend tonight in the Sacred Valley.
