Itinerary
- Day 1
Tarangire National Park
Your guide picks you up after breakfast and drives you to Tarangire National Park, which takes about two and a half hours on well-maintained roads. Once there, you'll spend the day on game drives looking for elephants hanging around the river, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, lions, and leopards, plus you'll see tons of different bird species. Don't skip the ancient Baobab trees when you come across them. Lunch happens at a picnic site inside the park, and then you'll head to Fig Tree Lodge for the night.

Landmarks Tarangire National Park Tarangire River - Day 2
Ngorongoro Crater
Starting between 6:00-6:30 am gives you the best shot at spotting black rhinos as you drive down into Ngorongoro Crater. The crater rises 600-650 meters high and honestly feels like a natural zoo. You'll explore in an open-roof 4x4 Land Cruiser and watch for wildlife throughout the morning. After a picnic lunch near the famous hippo pool, you'll continue with more game drives. By evening you'll head back to Arusha.
