- Day 1
Arenas de Cabrales
You'll arrive in Arenas de Cabrales and check in at Hotel Torrecerredo. Your tour leader will give you a welcome briefing to cover logistics for the week, and you'll get to know your group. This is a good time to settle in, get oriented, and ask any questions before your walks begin.

Landmarks/POIs Picos de Europa - Day 2
Picos de Europa Walk
Head out directly from the hotel on your first walk, climbing up to Vanu pastures where you'll see the Picos de Europa peaks. The route takes you across changing landscapes through the Cabrales valley, and spring flowers should be visible along the way. You might spot griffon vultures soaring overhead. Stop for lunch near Inguanzo village, then head back to Arenas de Cabrales on a gentle final section.

Landmarks/POIs Picos de Europa - Day 3
Pandescura - Demues
Transfer to Canales village this morning to start your second walking day. You'll follow farm tracks before heading up to Collado de los Buitres, where griffon vultures are often seen. The walk continues across open terrain toward Pandescura peak, where you'll have lunch with views over the western massif. From there, descend through green hills and finish at Demues village.

Landmarks/POIs Pandescura Peak - Day 4
Cares Gorge - Cain
Today you're hiking the Cares Gorge, a famous trail that clings to the rock face with peaks towering over 6,562 feet above. Built in the 1940s for a hydroelectric project, this path offers spectacular views and chances to spot wall creeper birds. You'll have lunch in Cain village, then retrace your steps back to Arenas de Cabrales by minibus.

Free Day
This day is yours to use however you'd like. You can head to the nearby coast for a change of scenery, try self-guided canoeing, or go canyoning if that appeals to you. The local staff can help arrange any of these activities, so just let them know what interests you.

Peña Main - Collado de Pandebano
Start near Tieve village to tackle Peña Main, one of the classic viewpoints in Picos de Europa. You'll walk to Collado de Pandebano before beginning your descent through the mountains. The scenery here is spectacular and gives you different perspectives on the range than earlier days.

Landmarks/POIs Peña Main - Day 7
Highest Summit
Climb to the twin summits of Mancondiu at 6,562 feet, the highest point of your week. Most of the route follows disused mining tracks, so it's more gradual than you might expect. Only the final 656 feet gets steeper. Once you reach the top, you'll see across the central and eastern massifs as a nice reward for the week.

Departure
After breakfast at Hotel Torrecerredo, you'll begin your journey home. If you want to stay longer though, the option to extend your trip and explore more of the region is available. Either way, you'll head out having completed a solid week of hiking.
