Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo
An UncleSam Holidays representative will meet you at Colombo airport and drive you to your hotel. You'll have the rest of the day to settle in and rest up after your travel.
- Day 2
Colombo to Polonnaruwa
After breakfast you'll head toward Polonnaruwa, stopping at Dambulla Royal Cave Temple, the Golden Buddha statue, and Ibbankatuwa Megalithic Tombs along the way. Once you reach Polonnaruwa and check in, you can walk through the ancient ruins including the Royal Palace and Gal Vihara. The evening is yours to do as you like.

Polonnaruwa to Kandy
You'll drive to Kandy after breakfast, with stops at Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Aluviharaya Rock Cave Temple, Fort Macdowall, and a spice garden in Matale. After checking into your Kandy hotel, you'll have free time to relax or wander around on your own.

You'll get views of Kandy Lake and watch a traditional Sri Lankan cultural performance. By evening you're free to shop or just take it easy.

After breakfast you'll check out and drive to Nuwara Eliya, stopping at waterfalls and tea plantations on the way. You can check out the golf course, Gregory Lake, local Hindu temples, and visit a tea factory to see how Ceylon tea gets made. The evening is free for whatever you'd like to do.

Nuwara Eliya to Udawalawe National Park
You'll head to Udawalawe National Park after breakfast, with stops at Ravana's Cave and Rawana Falls near Ella. In the afternoon you'll go on a jungle safari where you might see Sri Lankan elephants (about 400 live in the park), leopards, sloth bears, and different deer species. You'll return to your hotel by evening.
