  Overall the trip was good. A lot of time on the bus that could have been spent on walking tours. Some of the hotels weren't very comfortable..had no AC or fans so rooms got pretty warm. Breakfast at most of the hotels were decent but it was the same thing every morning. Most of the places we visited were worth seeing once and some places are worth going back for more of a in depth visit. A little more downtime would have been nice but trying to satisfy 42 people is tough. Our guide and driver were wonderful..nice, informative, funny, engaging. We weren't happy when we found out that there were 42 people on the bus when we paid extra to be on a smaller tour of 26...still need to take this up with CIE for a refund. We were probably the youngest on the trip and will probably wait another ten years before we do a bus trip again. We would recommend CIE but hope they make the 26 versus 42 right

  overall, the tour was very good. Our bus driver/ tour director, John was exceptional. The primary complaints surrounded CIE's decision to not issue dinner vouchers, after a 6 hour delay, when our ferry from Scotland to Ireland had mechanical break down. Cie knew our situation which was very unique but instead had us all on the tour pay for our meals on trhe ferry knowing we would be back to our hotel after midnight. We are blaming CIE for their insensitivity and disregard for all of us. We missed a pre scheduled meal, thereby abandoning their responsiblitilty to support by paying the vouchers for all of us who werea captive audience. Our dinner prescheduled dinner at the Marriot hotel was part of our dinners paid for up front and part of our trip. Additionally, the complaints related London The on again off again bus did not have anyone to talk letting all of us know what site was coming up nor the stops to get back on the bus. Also, on the first day in London, the city tour gave us a synopsis of London sites. The problem is the trip started late in the afternoon, which caused us to not get into sites such as the Crown Jewels because of huge crowds. Finally, we were taken to a small historic lake town with beautiful shops and buildings. After, the 30 mi9nute boat ride we were placed back on the bus and with a drive to a shopping and food place off the highway. We were unhappy with that decision it was very disappointing not to the town. Overall, we enjoyed our trip, hotels, dinners except for the above noted problem.   CIE Tours provided a great experience for my wife and me as we toured Great Britain. The pre trip info was excellent as was the tour itself. The itinerary, guides and drivers were great. We recommend CIE Tours to others.

  I loved the tour but we had issues with the transportation department, not only with the airline scheduling but also with shuttle service arriving and leaving. We have addressed these issues in another letter. I would definitely use CIE again if our concerns are addressed favorably.
