Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport where an Alpine Club of Himalaya representative meets you and takes you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or wander through Thamel's souvenir shops if you have energy. A welcome dinner in the evening introduces you to Nepalese food and flavors.

Kathmandu
After breakfast, you'll tour Kathmandu's historic and spiritual sites including Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Boudhanath Stupa. At noon there's a pre-trip discussion where you'll meet your trek leader and other team members before things officially start.

Ulleri
An early morning flight takes you to Pokhara with Himalayan views on your right side. From there you'll drive to Nayapul and start trekking through sub-tropical valley forests on cliff-carved trails. After crossing the Bhurungdi Khola river, the thousands of steps up Ulleri Hill bring you to your camp by late afternoon.

Landmarks Pokhara - Day 4
Ulleri to Ghorepani
You'll climb to Ghorepani village, a historic trading post whose name means 'horse-water'. The village has small shops selling local goods and crafts to browse. Moving to the higher section gives you panoramic mountain views before you settle in for a chilly night.

Landmarks Ghorepani - Day 5
Ghorepani to Tadapani
Starting early, you'll make a steep climb to Poon Hill viewpoint at 3,210m/10,531 ft to catch the sunrise over the Himalayas showing more than 20 peaks. After heading back to Ghorepani for breakfast, you'll trek east through rhododendron forests, pass waterfalls, and descend to Tadapani.

Tadapani to Ghandruk
A steep descent takes you through dense forest with ancient rhododendron trees that bloom into gardens when in season. Then you'll reach Ghandruk, a hillside settlement of stone houses where Gurung people live, with close views of Fishtail and Annapurna South mountains.

Pokhara
Trekking downhill from Ghandruk through Birethanti, you'll walk a stone slab-paved staircase past terraced farms to the Modi Khola river valley. After another half-hour walk to Nayapul where trekking ends, you'll drive back to Pokhara for the night.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
An afternoon flight gets you back to Kathmandu, and a left-side seat offers Himalayan views during the journey. You'll have free time at your hotel to rest, explore Thamel, or revisit landmarks you liked. A farewell dinner in the evening celebrates what you've completed.

Phakding
The 40-minute flight to Lukla at 9,186 ft/2,800 m takes you on one of the world's most thrilling air routes, landing on a hillside surrounded by high peaks. After meeting your crew and organizing gear, you'll trek downhill for about an hour to Cheplung village with views of Mount Khumbila, then descend to Phakding.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
You'll walk through lush pine forests following the Dudh Koshi River with views of Mount Thamserku and possible sightings of Mount Everest. Crossing five suspension bridges including the Hillary Bridge (the highest one), then climbing uphill brings you to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Mount Everest.

Namche Bazaar
This acclimatization day includes a leisurely walk through Namche's villages to meet Sherpa people and learn about their culture and daily life. You can visit the local museum which shows the region's plants, animals, and the history of Mount Everest's expeditions.

Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
You'll descend to the Dudhkoshi River passing through villages, then follow forest trails to the riverbed. From there, an uphill trek through pine and fir forests for about two hours brings you to Tengboche at 3,867m/12,683 ft, home to the largest monastery in the Khumbu region with views of the Himalayan range.

Tengboche to Monjo
Trekking through hillsides dotted with rhododendron and juniper trees, you'll cross a prayer-flag-draped bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. The route follows the gorge through pine forests where you might spot mountain goats or snow leopards, passing a Chorten and army camp before descending through several bridges to Monjo.

Lukla to Kathmandu
An early morning flight brings you to Kathmandu where your trip leader transfers you to your hotel. You'll have free time to explore Thamel's shops and souvenirs or revisit landmarks you want to see again. A farewell dinner gathers the group in the evening to celebrate the trek's success.

Kathmandu Departure
An Alpine Club of Himalaya representative escorts you to the airport about 3 hours before your scheduled flight, giving you plenty of time for check-in. From there you'll head home and can start thinking about planning your next Nepalese adventure.
