Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu to Pokhara

    Your pickup happens around 6:30 AM from your hotel in Kathmandu, and then you'll drive through forests and hill roads for roughly 6 hours. The route takes you past local markets, villages, and riverside areas. You'll stop for buffet lunch at a roadside restaurant somewhere along the way. Once in Pokhara, you'll have time to relax before heading out to walk around the city and lakeside in the evening.

  2. Day 2

    Nayapul to Tikhedunga

    After breakfast, you drive for about an hour to Nayapul early in the morning. From there your trek starts, following the River Bhurungdi Khola through rice fields and orange groves on an easy path with gentle slopes. By afternoon you'll reach Tikhedunga where you'll stay at a teahouse for the night.

  3. Day 3

    Tikhedunga to Ghorepani

    Starting from Tikhedunga, you'll tackle a steep climb to Ulleri with 3,300 stone steps that'll give you great mountain views as you go higher. After that, the trek takes you through rhododendron and oak forests to Ghorepani. You might see langur monkeys and musk deer in this area. Your teahouse awaits you at Ghorepani for the night.

  4. Day 4

    Ghorepani to Tadhapani

    You'll head out early to climb Poon Hill before breakfast so you can catch the sunrise views over the Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri mountains. Later in the morning after eating, you'll trek uphill through jungle to Durali, then make a slight descent down to Tadhapani where you'll sleep at a teahouse.

  5. Day 5

    Tadhapani to Chomrong

    Today involves a steep descent through dense forest to reach the village of Chomrong. Along the way you'll pass farmland and traditional Gurung villages, and you'll have views of Annapurna South and Mount Machhapuchhre. You'll reach your teahouse in Chomrong by evening.

  6. Day 6

    Chomrong to Dovan

    Lots of elevation changes happen today. You'll descend for about an hour to Chomrong Khola River and cross it on a suspension bridge. Then comes a 2-hour climb to Sinuwa through areas with wild bamboo and rhododendron. After lunch you'll continue through bamboo forests to Dovan for the night.

  7. Day 7

    Dovan to Machhapuchhre Base Camp

    You'll gradually climb along the Madi River through a sacred valley where meat and fish aren't eaten due to Buddhist and Hindu beliefs. Keep an eye out for the Lophophorus bird, which is Nepal's national bird. Bamboo trees line the path as you ascend to Machhapuchhre Base Camp teahouse.

    Leaving the base camp, vegetation disappears as you enter the Annapurna Sanctuary, a high desert wilderness surrounded by the Annapurna mountains and glaciers. The setting here is quite different from everything below. You'll sleep at a teahouse at this high altitude.

    An early start today lets you catch the sunrise from the Annapurna Sanctuary. After watching the light hit the peaks, you'll begin your descent following the Modi Khola River down to Bamboo Hut where you'll stay for the night.

  10. Day 10

    Bamboo Hut to Jhinu

    The day starts with an uphill trek to Sinewa, then you'll descend to Chomrong Khola River. You'll go back up to Chomrong, and then make a final descent down to Jhinu. Here you have the chance to jump into the natural hot springs and soak in the warm water before settling in for the night.

    Jhinu to Pokhara

    Pokhara to Kathmandu

    I was with Nepal Lion Tours and Treks on 9 days trekking to Annapurna base camp. Everything was great: had great guide Binod and great Sherpa Sonam- we both had good time with wonderful views. All thing was prepared amazing (accommodations, program, food).I would like to come back and with sure will take another trekking with this company. Owner MR Shiva also was amazing person for me- very helpful thx a lot, was pleasure for me to attend inn this trekking !

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
