Colombo
You'll land at Colombo International Airport where a representative meets you for the drive to your hotel, which takes roughly an hour. After settling in, you can unwind at your luxury accommodation in Sri Lanka's capital city.

- Day 2
Colombo to Bentota
Following breakfast, take a city tour through Colombo to see colonial British buildings, a Buddhist temple, and the busy Pettah market. Then it's about 2 hours 20 minutes to Bentota, Sri Lanka's main beach resort area. The afternoon is yours to relax on the beach.

Bentota
After breakfast, head to a sea turtle hatchery and then go on a river safari along the Bentota River where you'll spot kingfishers, white herons, crocodiles, reptiles, and fruit bats in the mangrove forests. You can even photograph baby crocodiles. Spend your afternoon back at the beach before returning to the hotel.

Landmarks/POIs Bentota River - Day 4
Bentota to Galle
Following breakfast, travel to Galle with a stop at Hikkaduwa Beach along the way, about 1 hour 30 minutes into your journey. Once in Galle, check into your hotel in this charming coastal town. Spend time walking around and taking in the seventeenth-century Dutch Fort and local architecture.

- Day 5
Galle
After breakfast, explore Galle on a guided tour that includes the bay of Unawatuna for swimming, snorkeling, diving, and boat rides. You'll also visit Galle Fort, originally built by the Portuguese in 1588 and reinforced by the Dutch in the early 1600s. This UNESCO site shows how European and South Asian architecture mixed from the 1500s through 1800s.

Galle to Mirissa
Following breakfast, travel about an hour to Mirissa, a quiet spot on Sri Lanka's South Coast with natural, quiet beaches. Spend your afternoon exploring the coastal area and spending time by the water.

Mirissa to Tangalle
Start early for a whale watching tour from Mirissa where you might see blue whales, Bryde's whales, sperm whales, fin whales, and possibly killer whales, plus bottle-nose, spinner, Russo's, and striped dolphins. You could also spot turtles and other fish. After the tour, travel about 1 hour 30 minutes to Tangalle, known for its clean coastline. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the beach.

- Day 8
Tangalle to Negombo
Following breakfast, head toward Negombo (about 3 hours 45 minutes) passing through Colombo to position yourself near the airport. You'll stop in Colombo for lunch and have a chance to shop if you want. Check in at your Negombo hotel and can visit the town in the evening if interested.

Departure from Negombo
