Arrival in Arusha
Your guide meets you at Kilimanjaro Airport and drives you to your lodge in Arusha. It's about a 45-minute ride from the airport, giving you time to settle in before everything kicks off tomorrow.

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, your guide picks you up for the roughly 3-hour drive to Mto Wa Mbu. You'll spend a couple hours walking through this town, checking out local Maasai culture, visiting plantations and market stalls, and meeting craftsmen. Lunch happens with a local Tanzanian cook, then you head into Lake Manyara National Park for your first game drive where tree-climbing lions sometimes show up.

Lake Natron
This morning you'll drive through Maasai territory toward Lake Natron, passing the Stone-age site of Engaruka and seeing Ol Doinyo Lengai, the region's only active volcano. After lunch, a Maasai guide takes you along the lake's ridges to the Engaresero River where you can swim in the clear water cascading down from the escarpment before heading back to camp.

Landmarks Lake Natron Ol Doinyo Lengai Engaruka - Day 4
Lake Natron to North-East Serengeti
Start early with a sunrise walk along Lake Natron's shores with a Maasai guide looking for flamingos. Grab breakfast afterward, then pack in for the 7-hour drive to North-East Serengeti. As you pass Klein's Gate, the landscape shifts to endless savannah with large herds of grazing animals and predators following them.

- Day 5
Mara River Crossing
Today you'll track the animal migration along the Mara River plains where wildebeest crossings happen, with crocodiles waiting below. If timing works out, you'll catch this dramatic spectacle. The area is prime for spotting hyenas, cheetahs, lions, and leopards. You might drive for hours without seeing another vehicle, just you and the wildlife.

Landmarks Mara River - Day 6
Lobo Reserve
After an early breakfast with packed lunch, you'll drive to Central Serengeti for the day. The Lobo reserve stays quieter with fewer visitors, so you get to experience real wilderness with rocky outcrops and changing landscapes. Your lodge runs on solar power and maintains strict environmental standards.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater and wind down into the caldera. Your guide helps you spot rhino and lions up close. During lunch at Hippo Pool, you'll watch and listen to hippos enjoying the water. There's an optional visit to a Maasai Boma if you want to see how semi-nomadic communities live.

Tarangire National Park
You'll drive to Tarangire National Park after breakfast. Following lunch, head out on safari in this quieter park known for massive baobab trees and large elephant herds. Stay in a small camp run by local Maasai villages with spacious canvas tents and en suite bathrooms. Ten percent of your stay supports local community projects.

Full Day Safari
Spend the full day driving near the dry riverbed looking for elephants and other wildlife. Head to Larmaku Swamp where elephants cool off in water and rest under acacia trees. Large elephant herds are nearly guaranteed here in Tarangire.

Departure from Tarangire
Your safari wraps up with a drive to your final destination either in Arusha, to Arusha Airport for domestic flights, or to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home. Late checkout is available for an additional fee if you need extra time.
