- Day 1
Kathmandu to Lukla
Your adventure starts with an early morning scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, which sits at the entrance to the Everest region. After landing, you'll head east through thick forest on the hillside below Kalo Himal Ridge, staying on the main trail with your group until you reach Chhutang for the night.

Chhutang to Tuli Kharka
From Chhutang, the trail climbs gradually toward Zatrawala Pass at 4,600 meters/15,092 feet. You'll get nice views of Numbur Himal, Kongdi Ri, Karyolang Peak and the surrounding ridges along the way. After roughly two hours on flatter ground, you'll start descending to Tuli Kharka where you'll stop for the evening.

Tuli Kharka to Kothe
This day mixes uphill and downhill sections through dense forest of rhododendron, oak, pine and juniper trees. You'll see Mera Peak and the snow-capped peaks around it as you move through the landscape. The trail drops steeply down to the Hinku River, then climbs back up to Kothe on the west side of the valley.

Kothe to Thangnak
You'll trek along the ridge of the Hinku river heading toward Gondishung, passing Lungsumgba Gompa, a monastery built around 200 years ago where the route up Mera Peak is marked in rock. From there, easier walking trails take you to Thangnak, a summer grazing settlement with shops and tea houses where you'll camp.

Thangnak to Khare
The trek continues over lateral moraine toward Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers, then you'll tackle a steep climb all the way to Khare. From this campsite you'll have great views of the Northern Face of Mera Peak, and there are several good hikes around here for acclimatization and exploration.

Khare
This is a rest day at Khare since you're now above 5,000 meters/16,404 feet. Your Sherpa team will check and prepare all the climbing gear including ropes, ice axes, crampons, harnesses and other equipment. Use this time to rest and let your body adjust to the altitude.

- Day 7
Khare to Mera Peak Base Camp
You'll make a short but technically challenging trek to Mera Peak Base Camp. The route takes you gradually up over the Mera Glacier, then you'll climb steeply to the top of the glacier and traverse along it to reach base camp. Your Sherpa crew will set up the camp and prepare for the next stage.

Mera Peak Base Camp to Mera Peak High Camp
From base camp, the trek goes over Mera La Pass and continues on rocky, often snow-covered trails to Mera Peak High Camp. The Sherpa crew will set up camps and check your health and gear. From high camp, you'll see the Northern Face of Everest, Makalu, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, Baruntse and Chamlang.

Mera Peak Summit
Summit day starts very early so you can reach the top and return to High Camp and Khare by evening. The early light on the snow is beautiful. From the summit you'll see Everest at 8,848 meters, Cho-Oyu at 8,210 meters, Lhotse at 8,516 meters, Makalu at 8,463 meters and many other major peaks. You'll descend back to Khare to sleep.

Khare to Kathmandu
Early morning scenic flight takes you from Lukla back to Kathmandu. You'll be dropped at your hotel in Thamel where you can walk the narrow streets or visit historic sites around the Kathmandu Valley to wind down from your trek.
