Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Dunche
Start your journey with an early morning drive to Dunche, following the Trishuli river valley as it winds through the landscape. You'll pass forests and terraced fields on your way to Rasuwa district headquarters where you'll spend the night. The drive itself gives you a nice sense of the terrain you'll be trekking through over the coming days.

Landmarks/POIs Trishuli River - Day 2
Dunche to Thulo Syabru
Head to Thulo Bharkhu where the trek officially begins. Climb stone stairs that lead up to a Tamang village, and you'll have a chance to talk with locals about how they live and work in these mountain communities. From there the trail continues through pine and rhododendron forests as you make your way to a ridge, then down to Thulo Syabru for the night.

Landmarks/POIs Tamang Village - Day 3
Thulo Syabru to Chandanbari
Trek through forests of rhododendron, oak, and fir, walking past Dursagang and Foprang Danda. Throughout this five-hour hike you'll get views of Langtang, Ganesh, Annapurna, and peaks across the Tibetan border. By evening you reach Chandanbari, where there's a local cheese factory and Sing Gompa monastery to check out if you have energy after the day's walk.

Chandanbari to Gosaikunda
Start with an easy walk to Lauribinayak, then begin a gradual but steep climb toward Gosaikunda. You'll see chortens and small Shiva temples marking the entrance to this sacred area. The views open up to show Ganesh, Annapurna, and the Tibetan ranges, and the holy lake of Gosaikunda sits in this high altitude landscape surrounded by mountain peaks and smaller lakes.

- Day 5
Gosaikunda
This is your rest day at Gosaikunda. Take a hike at your own pace to the other two nearby lakes in the area and spend time with the mountain and lake scenery. It's a good chance to let your body adjust to the altitude and just take in your surroundings without a set schedule.

- Day 6
Gosaikunda to Dunche
Begin a long descent back through Lauribinayak toward Chandanbari and then all the way down to Dunche, retracing your route. As you lose altitude the pine forests gradually change character, and the easy descent offers scenic views throughout. It's a fairly hasty day of walking but the path is familiar from your trek up.

Dunche to Kathmandu
An early morning drive takes you back to Kathmandu, covering over eight hours as you pass through small villages, green hills, and patchwork terraced farms. The journey itself is pleasant and gives you time to reflect on the trek. Mountain Rock Treks has arranged a celebratory dinner waiting for you that evening to mark your successful completion of the trek.
