Hanoi
Your guide meets you at Noi Bai International Airport for the drive to your hotel in Hanoi. After checking in and resting a bit, the evening brings a traditional water puppet show, which is a distinctly Vietnamese art form. Then you'll head to a welcome dinner at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel for the night.

- Day 2
Hanoi
This full day covers Hanoi's main sites starting with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the House-on-Stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, and Tran Quoc Pagoda (originally built in the sixth century). You'll try street food including Pho Hanoi, Banh Cuon, and Bun Cha Hanoi, finishing with Vietnamese coffee at a street-pub. Later you'll see the Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo Former Prison, and Ngoc Son Temple before heading back to your hotel.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Travel to Tuan Chau Harbor and board your cruise with a welcome drink and introduction from the cruise manager. Lunch happens while you sail past thousands of islets. You'll visit Pearl Farm village and kayak around the area, then head to Titop Island for swimming, sunbathing, or climbing to the peak for views across Halong Bay. Back on the cruise, there's a cooking demonstration for Vietnamese dishes, sunset cocktails on the sundeck, and a set menu dinner. Evening options include bar time, movies, card games, or squid fishing.

- Day 4
Halong Bay to Hanoi
Morning starts with Tai Chi on the sundeck, then sunrise viewing followed by light breakfast. A tender takes you to Sung Sot Cave where you'll climb about 100 steps and spend roughly 45 minutes inside exploring the stalactites and stalagmites. Back on the cruise, you check out and have light lunch while sailing past islets before disembarking for your drive back to Hanoi with the rest of the day free.

After free time at your hotel, you transfer to Noi Bai Airport for your flight to Hue. At Phu Bai Airport, your guide meets you for the drive to your Hue hotel. In the afternoon, you'll explore the Hue Citadel with its three circles including the Royal Citadel and Forbidden Citadel. Stop by Dong Ba Market on the Perfume River bank to see daily activities, then finish with a Royal style dinner at a local restaurant.

A dragon boat trip on the Perfume River takes you to Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Vietnam's oldest and nicest religious buildings. By car afterward, you visit King Minh Mang's tomb and King Tu Duc's tomb. Then it's the drive to Hoi An (another World Heritage site) passing over Hai Van Pass where you stop for views of Lang Co Beach. Arrive at your hotel with free time, then have dinner at a local restaurant.

Mekong Delta Excursion
An excursion to the Mekong Delta takes you through a region crisscrossed by thousands of canals where life centers around water and villages are often only accessible by boat. A motorboat explores Thoi Son Islet (one of the four famous islets). You'll walk village paths to see family-run coconut candy mills and ride a horse-cart through villages. Lunch features local dishes with Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by locals. Then you return to Ho Chi Minh City with free time.
