Itinerary
- Day 1
Leon
You'll arrive in Leon and settle into your hotel. From there, the day is yours to explore at your own pace. Check out the Cathedral or walk through the tapas bars in Barrio Humedo if you're hungry. The Collegiate Church of San Isidoro and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Castilla y Leon are both worth seeing if you have time, but there's no rush. It's a good day to get your bearings and grab dinner somewhere local.

Leon to Rabanal del Camino
After breakfast, you'll start cycling the French Way from Leon to Rabanal del Camino. The route takes you through Villadangos del Páramo and Astorga. Stop in Villadangos to see the Church of Santiago Apóstol, then continue to Astorga where you can check out the Cathedral, Episcopal Palace, and Roman heritage sites. Try the traditional cocido Maragato for lunch or dinner along the way. It's a full day of cycling, so pace yourself.

Rabanal del Camino to Villafranca del Bierzo
You'll bike from Rabanal del Camino to Villafranca del Bierzo after breakfast. Pass through Molinaseca to see the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de las Angustias, Church of San Nicolás de Bari, Pilgrims Bridge, and Santo Cristo Cruise. Then head into Villafranca where there's plenty to explore: the Church of Santiago, La Anunciada, San Nicolás, the Collegiate Church, Castle, La Alameda, and Plaza Mayor. Spend your evening there getting to know the town.

Villafranca del Bierzo to Triacastela
After breakfast, cycle from Villafranca del Bierzo toward Triacastela, passing through O Cebreiro. Visit the pre-Romanesque Church of Santa María La Real del Cebreiro and the O Cebreiro Ethnographic Museum before continuing on. Once you reach Triacastela, you can see the 11th-century Church and other temples scattered through the municipality. The landscape really changes as you climb into this region.

Triacastela to Palas de Rei
You'll cycle from Triacastela to Palas de Rei after breakfast. Pass through Sarria, a major pilgrim hub where you can stop at the Parish Church of Santa Mariña, Church of El Salvador, and Convent of La Magdalena if you want. Later, stop in Portomarin to see the Chapel of Virgen de las Nieves, church-fortress of San Nicolás, Church of San Pedro, and historic pazos. Then head to Palas de Rei to check out the Church of SanTirso, Castle of Pambre, and Pazo de Ulloa.

Palas de Rei to Santiago de Compostela
The final cycling stage takes you from Palas de Rei to Santiago de Compostela. You'll pass through Arzúa, where there's a former Magdalena Convent and parish church of Santiago, and O Pedrouzo with its hermitage of Santa Irene. Then you reach Santiago, where you can visit the iconic Cathedral and Plaza del Obradoiro, walk through the Old Town, try local restaurants, and see the Hostal de los Reyes Católicos, Monastery of San Martín Pinario, and Pazo de Raxoi. It's a meaningful moment finishing the pilgrimage route.

After breakfast, your tour services end. You can head out or stick around Santiago de Compostela to see whatever you didn't get to the day before. Many people spend another day or two here, so it's up to you how you want to finish.
