Islamabad
You'll land at Islamabad International Airport and have time to get a feel for the city before heading to your hotel. Take the afternoon or early evening to walk around, grab some food, and settle in for the night. It's a good chance to adjust after your flight and prepare for the journey ahead.

Landmarks/POIs Islamabad International Airport - Day 2
Islamabad to Skardu
A short domestic flight gets you to Skardu, where the landscape shifts dramatically. Once you arrive, you'll walk through the town and take in the valley views surrounding it. The terrain here is quite different from Islamabad, so spend time getting oriented before checking into your hotel for the night.

Khaplu - Shigar
A 3-hour drive takes you to Khaplu, where you'll see the historic fort and Chaqchan Mosque. Walking through the local village gives you a sense of daily life in the area. After resting, you'll head toward Shigar Valley, crossing the Katpana Cold Desert to see natural sites and historical landmarks along the way.

Shigar to Hunza via Gilgit and Karimabad
The drive to Hunza on Skardu Road is adventurous with views of valleys, villages, and terraced fields passing by. You'll reach Gilgit and stay overnight. Next morning, head to Karimabad with stops at Rakaposhi Viewpoint on the old Silk Road, then walk through the local market later in the afternoon. The following full day covers Baltit Fort, Altit Fort, and Eagles' Nest. Later, visit Hopper Nagar, then after lunch and herbal tea, head to Attabad Lake for its turquoise water and an optional boat ride.

Hunza to Passu via Gulmit
Travel to Gulmit in Gojal Valley, where you'll walk around and talk with locals about village life. Then continue to Passu, a scenic spot with views of the Passu Cones and Batura Glacier. A short hike here lets you see the landscape up close and get a better sense of the terrain.

Passu to Islamabad
The final stretch of your journey includes several stops for photos as the scenery shifts back toward lower elevations. You'll spend the night in Naran before descending into lush green valleys the next day. By afternoon, you'll reach Islamabad and head to the airport for your departure flight.
