Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangalore to Lepakshi Temple
You'll leave Bangalore at 9:00 AM for a 2-hour drive to Lepakshi Temple in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh. Once there, walk through the 16th-century temple complex and check out the detailed stone carvings, murals, and large pillars throughout. The Veerabhadra Temple has the well-known Hanging Pillar and a massive Nandi statue made from granite that's worth seeing. Around 1:00 PM, grab lunch at one of the local restaurants (your own cost). After eating, you'll head back to Bangalore, pulling in around 6:00 PM.
