Itinerary
- Day 1
Bucharest
You'll arrive in Bucharest today and get settled into your accommodation. If your flight comes in early, there's plenty of time to walk around and take in the Belle Epoch architecture and the city's nightlife before the welcome meeting at 6 pm. After that, you'll head to dinner with the group to try Romanian food for the first time.

- Day 2
Bucharest to Brasov
A private guide takes you through Old Town Bucharest this morning, stopping at key sites tied to the 1989 revolution. You'll see Piata Unirii, one of Europe's largest squares, and the Palace of Parliament, which has 1,100 rooms and 4,500 chandeliers. By afternoon, you board a train heading to Brasov in the mountains. This medieval Saxon city used to be a major trading hub and it's quite different from what you've seen so far.

- Day 3
Brasov
You'll start at Bran Castle, a 13th-century fortress sitting on a cliff with turrets and whitewashed walls that look right out of a story. After exploring the castle, head back to Brasov for a walking tour. The old streets have ornate churches, city walls, and houses with gingerbread-style roofs. The Black Church is a gothic structure that was darkened by a fire back in 1689, and it's the most striking building you'll see.

- Day 4
Viscri and Sighisoara
A private vehicle takes you to Viscri, a Saxon village that's been protected by UNESCO and barely changed in 900 years. You'll visit the fortified church there, which historians think might be Transylvania's oldest one. Lunch is at a local family's home where they cook traditional dishes. After that, you travel on to Sighisoara, a 12th-century town that's another UNESCO site with a beautiful medieval Old Town that's been well preserved. The afternoon is free for you to wander around.

- Day 5
Sighisoara to Cluj Napoca
This morning you explore Sighisoara's medieval streets. The town is where Vlad the Impaler was born, and walking through these old lanes really does feel like stepping into another era. Later, you take a train that cuts through farmland and passes Saxon towns on the way to Cluj Napoca. This is Transylvania's unofficial capital. Once you get there, you'll stroll through the gothic streets of this 2,000-year-old city.

Cluj Napoca
The morning takes you to the Turda Salt Mines, an old salt mine that's now an underground amusement park. You can rent a rowboat, try bowling, or check out a museum about salt mining in the area. After that, you head back to Cluj for a guided tour with a local who shows you around the city. The rest of the day is yours to explore on your own.

Hoia Forest
You're heading out to Hoia Forest for the day, a place known for local legends and unusual stories. A guide meets you for a 4-hour hike through gentle hills and valleys. You'll walk through the Round Meadow where a UFO was reportedly spotted in the late 1960s and hear the local stories about the forest. After getting back to the hotel, your afternoon is free.
