- TATamara· May 22nd, 2023Our tour guide, Ryan, was outstanding! He immediately put us at ease with his friendly and personable manner. His knowledge of the complicated roads and history of the areas we visited gave us the safety we needed to deeply enjoy the beautiful landscapes and fascinating history Scotland has. Thank you for the perfect vacation!Show moreSpirit Journeys Worldwide commented on this reviewThank you very much for your kind review. Ryan is one of our most treasured guides. He loved the kind letter that you both wrote him, that meant so much to him. We are so pleased you enjoyed your trip and hopefully, we can welcome you in Scotland... Show moreTrip date: May 2023
- RPRobin· April 22nd, 2022It finally happened. After 2 false starts, due to Covid, we were finally able to complete our tour and we weren’t let down. Spirit Journeys, specifically Julia was incredible to work with. Over the course of two years I had many changes and questions for her and she extremely helpful and courteous in her responses. My wife and I would discuss nightly what the best part of the tour was. Now that it is all over, we’ve come to the conclusion that Roger, our tour guide was the best part of the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable of Outlander and Scotland. There was no question that his goal was to provide us with the best tour possible and he did. Cuddos to Tour Radar, Spirit Journeys, Julia, and Roger.Show moreSpirit Journeys Worldwide commented on this reviewThank you for your very kind review. We were delighted to welcome you to Scotland finally. Roger is one of our top guides, and he really enjoyed being back on tour and showcasing Scotland to our guests. Thank you again for travelling with Spirit... Show moreTrip date: April 2022

Asked on June 17th, 2024How many are on this trip? Can I request gluten free meals? What is the average age of other travelers? Are there other solo/single travelers?
- Spirit Journeys WorldwideOperator•Written June 2024
If you are travelling solo you would be better on our August trip. The August date is mainly made up of solo travellers and we have 2 groups who all meet at the end for a finishing dinner.

Asked on September 23rd, 2023What are the accommodations like? Are the beds double beds, or at least queen size for double occupancy? How many miles per day will we be walking? Can we book together and pay separately? The group of 5 would need 2 double occupancy rooms and one single occupancy rooms. Do you accommodate that? Are all the entrance tickets included? How much do you tip? Are tips only cash? Is breakfast the only meal that is included?
- Spirit Journeys WorldwideOperator•Written September 2023
If you have a group of 5 people for this trip we can run it at the same price but just for your group. We can request kingsize beds and let you know if not they will be queen beds. The single bed normally has just a single bed in it but for a premium, we can request a double room for sole use. All entrances on the itinerary are included. Tips are discretionary but we advise £10 per person per day and they are normally paid in cash to the guide. Breakfast is the only meal that is provided but you will be staying in areas with lots of choices for places to eat. If you wish to include dinner please let me know and I can quote with dinner included but I do think you will enjoy eating at local restaurants.

Asked on April 26th, 2022We are coming for the tour in May for the Outlander Tour I just saw that Midhope Castle will be closed some of the days we are there. I was just wondering if we would still be able to see if on our tour
- Spirit Journeys WorldwideOperator•Written April 2022
I am afraid Midhope have closed off most of the dates in May due to filming. If this is a must visit we will allow a date change.

Chris
Traveler•Written April 2022Thank you for confirming. As much as we would like to come when that spot is open to see, we would not be able to change our dates at this late of notice due to work schedules. So, we will be sticking to the May tour. Looking forward to seeing the other sites on the tour.

Asked on January 29th, 2022What are the luggage restriction for this tour? Can you offer luggage storage on this trip, or does all the luggage need to be taken on tour?
- Spirit Journeys WorldwideOperator•Written January 2022
The luggage restriction on this tour is one suitcase per person. Occasionally we allow a second suitcase but this depends on the final tour numbers. There is luggage storage in Edinburgh and Glasgow so you would not have problems finding somewhere to store any excess luggage.

Traveler•Written January 2022Can you tell me what time things begin on day 1. It looks like there are some things before meeting with the group that evening. We are just trying to plan our flight so we arrive in time for everything.
- Spirit Journeys WorldwideOperator•Written January 2022
The tour starts at 1 pm with an afternoon tour. This gives people time to arrive. We can also help with a pre-tour night if you would like to arrive the day before.

Traveler•Written February 2022I was wondering if there are any Covid testing sites available anywhere close to the tour stops. We are trying to decide if we should try and find ones to bring when we come or try to take one at a location there
- Spirit Journeys WorldwideOperator•Written March 2022
There is an express testing site at Edinburgh airport that you can book prior to your flight home
