Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Lima
You'll land at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima where a Uniworld representative meets you. They'll handle your transfer to Country Club Lima Hotel, which serves as your base for exploring Peru's capital over the next couple of days.
- Day 2
Lima
This morning you'll take a guided tour through Lima, the city founded back in 1535. The tour covers the main districts and historical sites, giving you a real feel for how this place blends different cultures, food traditions, and colonial history all together.

Lima to Iquitos
You'll head to the airport for your flight to Iquitos in the heart of the Amazon. Once you arrive, another Uniworld rep will meet you and transfer you to the Aria Amazon ship. Before settling in, you'll get a panoramic tour of Iquitos to get oriented.

Ucayali River & Amazon Exploration
Your morning begins at the Ucayali headstream. You can kayak or canoe in Clavero Lake's black waters, visit a remote village to learn about local traditions, and then as evening sets in, head out on the Yarapa River to spot nocturnal wildlife.

Amazon River Wildlife & Flora Exploration

Nauta & Birthplace of the Amazon
You'll visit Nauta, situated where the Marañón and Ucayali Rivers meet. After exploring the local market with its fish, fruits, and vegetables, the group heads out to see where the Amazon River actually begins, which is a significant spot.

Marañón River & Amazon Wildlife
Today focuses on the Marañón River. You'll search for Taricaya turtles and other wildlife while cruising, take a skiff to visit a small village, try your hand at piranha fishing during the day, and then head out at sunset to look for nocturnal animals.

Pacaya Samiria National Reserve
An early start lets you pack in plenty of activities. There's a picnic lunch served in the jungle, fishing in the Samiria River's black waters, and exploration of Pacaya Samiria National Reserve with choices for jungle walks, canoeing, kayaking, or swimming. The day wraps up with a sunset cruise on the Ucayali.

Marañón River & Puerto Prado
The morning offers jungle walks, canoeing, kayaking, or swimming depending on your preference. Afterward, you'll take a skiff tour on the Marañón River, visit Puerto Prado Forest and the village there, then return to the ship for lunch or rest.

Nauta to Iquitos to Lima
You'll take a morning walk through Nauta before leaving the Aria Amazon. Your guide leads some excursions on the way to Iquitos airport, then you fly back to Lima and check into Wyndham Costa del Sol Lima Airport hotel for your last night in Peru.

Departure from Lima
