Itinerary
- Day 1
Bucharest to Brasov
You'll meet your guide in Bucharest or at the airport if you arrive by 11:00 AM, then head straight toward Transylvania. The drive takes you through changing landscapes before reaching Bran Castle, the structure linked to Dracula stories. From there you'll continue to Brasov and spend time walking through the medieval center, checking out Council Square, the Black Church, and the old towers scattered through the area. Your first night is in the Old Town, so you'll settle in early and get oriented to the streets.

Brasov
After breakfast, you're heading into the Saxon heritage sites starting with Prejmer Fortified Church, a 13th-century UNESCO location with serious defensive architecture. Then you'll reach Viscri, a small village where the buildings and layout show you what traditional Transylvanian settlements looked like. Rupea Fortress comes next with its three layers of walls that are quite something to see. By afternoon you'll get to Sighisoara, the best-preserved medieval town in the region, where narrow stone streets take you past the Clock Tower and Vlad the Impaler's birthplace. You'll return to Brasov for the night.

Brasov
Starting after breakfast, you'll drive to Sibiu, Transylvania's largest medieval town. The day includes walking through Big Square and Little Square, seeing both Orthodox and Lutheran-Evangelic Cathedrals, crossing Liars Bridge, and checking out what remains of the medieval walls. Around lunchtime you'll head out to nearby villages for a horse-drawn wagon ride through the countryside, then eat a traditional lunch prepared by a local family who'll share how rural Transylvanian life actually works. On the return to Brasov, you'll stop at Feldioara Fortress, dating from the early 13th century and the oldest fortification in medieval Transylvania.

Brasov to Bucharest
After breakfast you'll leave Brasov heading back toward Bucharest. On the way, you stop in Sinaia to see Peles Castle, the former royal summer residence and one of Europe's finest castles with its distinctive architecture. Then you continue to Bucharest, arriving at the airport or your hotel around 2:00 PM to end the tour.
