Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

    Leave Kathmandu early in the morning for the drive to Syabrubesi, heading through rolling hills with the Himalayan ranges visible in the distance. You'll pass alongside tranquil rivers and get your first sense of the landscape before stopping to walk around the village. After that, settle into your accommodation for the night and rest up before the trek begins.

  2. Day 2

    Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

    Your trek officially starts today following the Langtang Khola as it winds through the valley. You'll cross several suspension bridges and walk through thick woodlands, with the trail going up and down throughout the day. By evening, you'll reach Lama Hotel where you'll spend the night, covering about 7 kilometers.

  3. Day 3

    Lama Hotel to Langtang Village

    The hike gets steeper today as you move through forests of oak, rhododendron, and hemlock trees. You'll pass stone chortens and walk by Ghoda Tabela before the terrain gets more open. From there, head to Langtang Village, which sits at about 3430m/11,250ft and shows clear influences from Tamang, Sherpa, and Tibetan cultures. Stay in a local tea house.

  4. Day 4

    Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa

    Continue trekking with views of the surrounding mountains growing more impressive as you go higher. The trail passes yak pastures and prayer walls before entering areas around monasteries. By the end of the day you'll be at roughly 4000m/13,125ft, and the Langtang range views become really noticeable from this elevation.

  5. Day 5

    Kyanjin Ri - Lama Hotel

    Start early and hike up to Kyanjin Ri to catch the sunrise hitting Langtang Lirung, Langtang II, Yala Peak, and Dorje Lakpa. The snow-capped peaks and views of the Langtang glacier from up here are worth the early start. After spending time at the top, head back down to Lama Hotel along the same route.

    Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi

    Make your way back down the mountain through lush forest, following the Langtang River as it flows down the valley. The descent takes you past all the landmarks from your way up, and you'll end the day back in Syabrubesi where your trek started.

  7. Day 7

    Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

    Set out early for the drive back to Kathmandu, taking the same route you came on through the hills and valleys. Once in the city, spend the afternoon and evening walking through Thamel, the main tourist district, checking out shops, restaurants, and local spots to wrap up the trip.

    • For any tour departing before February 12th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 12th, 2026, a minimum payment of 100% is required to confirm your booking with Himalayan Recreation Treks & Expedition Pvt.ltd. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
